If you are a beginner, fear not!! I wanted to try something new, so I signed up for the tier 0 four week intro salsa class. The first session was already really fun. I have limited coordination with my feet, but Pedro is funny and patient, and the time flies by! I highly recommend if you need a break from the news and want to learn a new art!!

Honestly I was a little nervous about taking dance classes, I can say this place makes you feel comfortable right away. The instructors are not only talented but also super patient, breaking down the steps so it’s easy to follow even if you’ve got two left feet. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun. You don’t feel judged if you mess up, everyone’s just there to learn and enjoy. The music and energy really make you want to keep going, and it feels like a good workout too without even realizing it. What I liked most is that they take the time to explain both the lead and follow roles, so you really understand how to dance with a partner and not just memorize steps.

Overall it was a nice experience. I liked the instructor. She was so friendly and nice. It would be great if we can get to practice with more variety of musics. I will be back and I highly recommend it.

My son (4) has done a full summer of Salsa with Silvia camp. I can’t express how much we loved it, but let’s just say it’s so much that we switched him from half the summer to a full summer there. It is impossible to get him to leave because he loves it so much. And I should say when I come to pick him up they’re having a full on strobe light dance party. The teachers and counselors are so incredible - they put so much creativity and effort into the performances, and are so thoughtful and communicative with parents. They also clearly do a great job recruiting and supporting staff because they seem to really love being there. Which makes the kids love it too! To mr Juan, Mr Mario, ms Naomi, ms Allison, and all of the wonderful teachers, thank you!!!!! Salsa with Silvia is a neighborhood institution and we love having you here.

Was visiting DC for the weekend & felt like I wanted to do something else instead of museums and found Silvia's event on Eventbrite for their first ever Saturday morning Yoga & Salsa Social Dancing event! One can either choose to do just the yoga, or social OR best of both worlds! I had a flowy strengthening fun yoga class with Anya & enjoyed DJ Aldo's amazing music & dancing! I've started learning a bit of salsa on 2 and despite them being a salsa on 1 studio, they welcomed me so kindly! We all enjoyed dancing with each other, had met such fantabulous people with great vibes! I recommend this studio so0o much! I can only imagine how awesome their regular classes are!
