My wife and I are escape room enthusiasts from SC. We are in Dallas on a week-long 3-state escape room roadtrip. Based on all the Morty reviews, I was excited about The Secret Chambers. Fortunately, TSC more than met our expectations. We did all 3 rooms in Fort Worth today and Poe and Pirate's Adventure in Arlington yesterday. I cannot say enough good things about these rooms. All of their rooms were very well themed. The puzzles were fun, made sense and fit the theme. The staff was very nice. Ironically, the only room we didnt escape was their easiest (Witches Tower) but we enjoyed it anyway. We actually liked having the iPad for hints in the other two rooms. The GMs were also helpful when needed. We even got a tour of one of their future rooms still under construction. Its gonna be incredible when it's done. Highly recommend The Secret Chambers.
The theming of the room is very cool and the puzzles were challenging, but the system we were given to use for hints was awful and the game master was pretty unenthusiastic. They gave us an iPad to use that just showed all the possible hints we would need based on the puzzle we were on. So basically you could pre see all of the puzzles and click on the one you’re on to get 2 possible hints. There were many times the hints from the iPads just weren’t helpful for what we were stuck on. We were suppose to be able to call out to a game master for help, but when we did that he took a while to respond. On top of that he was somewhat unenthusiastic compared to game masters in other rooms we’ve done. We read reviews on Morty before booking the room and no one mentioned an iPad system so not sure if they were just busy/short handed and had to use this system when normally they wouldn’t. On top of that, the last puzzle we did we had the correct code in but it just wouldn’t trigger the mechanism for the lock on a door. When we asked the game master he told us the code to put in and it matched what we had, but he just didn’t respond after that for a minute or two and suddenly the door unlocked. We’ve done the Secret Chambers in Arlington and loved it so we were surprised to not have had the same experience at the Fort Worth location. I think if we’d had a traditional game master and not the iPad system, it would have gone a lot better. The room was really cool and it had a fun ending. We’ll still be back to try other rooms, but I may try to pick rooms that for sure have a game master in the future
Such a great time, the kids got really into it too. They make a good escape room for everyone to enjoy. Thanks for a providing a great time for my daughter's birthday! We saved Santa, Christmas can happen!
We had such a great time! We did the Christmas themed witches tower. Had a blast. Taylor was the GM. She was very sweet. Showed us their rage room and upcoming escape room that they’re building from scratch. They have a cool room for corporate events/ team building events which also come with 2 hours in the badass arcade room. Old school games. Very fun spot. It was our first time. Go check them out!
We had a wonderful time for my Birthday at Fort Worth Secret Chambers! We chose the Train escape room & it was so much fun figuring out the puzzles. I love how interactive it was & how each person in our group contributed. We got through all the puzzles & barely got the gold and made it out in time!! Amber at the front desk was awesome & took our photograph. We will be back to Fort Worth escape room for the Witch escape room!!
