This weekend, I was thrilled to attend the Tack Room's soft reopening and get a sneak peek at their new menu. Thanks to Karina and Ruben for inviting me. The food and cocktails were incredible! Special shoutout to Brandyn, Anisse, Monico, Lyndsey, and the entire staff for making it a fantastic experience. The Tack Room is tentative to reopen this coming Friday, don’t miss the Slow & Low Short Rib - that alone is worth the trip! Mucho exito!

They gave me a half inch thick $40 steak, in a styrofoam container that I can’t cut it in. Even the cheaper restaurant here served my to go meal on a plate last night, but spend almost $80 and no plate. The rest looks okay, just lack luster for what I spent here. Next time I’ll stick to the $20 Kobe cheeseburger, which is all you should spend here. Just tried that $40 steak I had cooked medium rare, chewy trash. Don’t waste your money, unless you just like to waste money.

Well, here it goes. The bread and the service from the waitress (Amber) were the best part of the meal. I ordered the “Special” 14-16oz New York strip medium rare Pittsburgh! What I got was an over cook not Pittsburgh breakfast stake 10oz (Flavorless) that could be served at Denny’s for the steak and eggs plate. It comes on a vegetable medley (over cooked and rubbery) in addition, the mushrooms are packaged precut/sliced and way over cooked. I hate to say it but I have had a better steak at Logan’s here in Laredo. This could be a great place if they had a chef that trained his/her folks how to cook the items on the menu.

Saturday 12.17.22 out waitress was Nicole and she was the only one running the bar n as our server. She was really nice and made good drinks. To make this clear, the food was at room temperature for the time it took to bring it out. The mushrooms appetizers were almost cold, then the food was very very room temperature. I wanted to return all the platter’s we got served but my friends said no. Cuz it took tooo long to get our food. Again, this has nothing to do with our waitress. I lived n Dallas for almost 40 yrs and was looking for somewhere fancy to eat but Unfortunately it’s Not The Tack Room. Never again….thanks Nicole for making our visit nice. But the Food Got B A lot More Warmer when Served n Some Taste Too…
