This place has truly been a Godsend for my son. The level of dedication and seriousness they bring to the art is unmatched, and it’s inspired my son to rise to that same level of commitment. The trainer-to-student ratio is excellent, allowing him to receive focused, individualized attention that has helped him grow tremendously. The owner, Steve, is exceptionally kind, honest, and professional. His leadership sets the tone for the entire program. Because of the outstanding experience my son has had, I’m now excited to enroll my daughter as well. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking to join the art. We absolutely love it here and fully intend to remain part of this community for years to come!
I absolutely love this place! I could not speak more highly of Sensei Hatfield…the environment and class culture speaks for itself, but the safe space to learn and the disciplined curriculum is like no other in the area. We have visited a number of facilities around Columbus and this is place is hands down the best around!
The Technician Dojo is by far the MOST advanced and cutting edge martial arts school I have EVER come across. As a lifelong martial artist myself, I can confidently say that the real life self defense training that is taught, by far surpasses ANY expectations I may have had beforehand. Master Hatfield is a TRUE martial artist that refuses to sugarcoat and tells it like it is. His compassion for his students and the love he has for the arts is truly admirable. The skills he has perfected during his lifelong journey are proven to be effective and unique to his style. I would HIGHLY recommend ANYONE who is looking for a solid martial arts foundation to check out the Technician Dojo!! You will NOT be disappointed! 🥋
My son has been attending Technician Dojo for over a year, and he absolutely loves it! I've seen his confidence grow, his agility improve, and he really thrives in the family-friendly environment. After watching from the sidelines, I decided to give the women’s self-defense class a try. The class offers practical, hands-on techniques that can be applied in real-life situations. As a woman, it's so important to me to learn how to effectively protect myself, and Sensei Hatfield and his team do a fantastic job of equipping us with the skills to stay confident and safe. My son and I both enjoy the welcoming, family-like atmosphere of the dojo—it truly feels like a second home!
I am taking self defense class with Steven on Tuesdays at 7pm. The class has been more than expected. He really changed my perspective on how to prepare myself in real life scary scenarios. I would recommend this class to anyone of all ages, he’s really knowledgeable in what he teaches and has me feeling more confident. As a single female living with her only son, that is really important for me!! I can’t thank Steven enough for his service to our community.
