Spoke with David who after a consultation had me sold on creating a custom bike. The end result was amazing. They spent a bunch of time with me really getting the details dialed in. Not only amazing service but David is an artist. Highly recommend checking them out.

This guy, the owner of Towne Cycles, is the real deal. My husband and I had a flat tire in West Oakland last night, and we were having real problems changing it. He pulled over, stopped and CHANGED THE TIRE for us. A true human being -- the best of Oakland. I will always support and recommend a business run by such a generous, honest and kind person who asked for nothing in return. Support this local business -- he is what we need more of in this world.

Dave really went the extra mile to get my 15-year old cross bike riding like new again. It was a difficult project as multiple components needed to be swapped and repaired, and he handled it easily with great communication. Prices are totally reasonable for tune-ups. And while I was in the shop, he accommodated multiple customers who needed urgent work done when he could have easily turned them away. There's also a great selection of used bikes and bike components for those looking to build one on a budget. This shop is miles better than the big chains. Don't miss it.

I love my bike that Towne Cycles created for me! I traded in a bike that I didn’t ride much and brainstormed with Dave about the things I wanted and he and his team made me a whole new bike that I love. Their attention to detail was great, if I ever wanted another bike I would go to Towne Cycles again, but my bike they built is great and I’m riding more than I have in years. Having a bike I like makes such a difference. Thanks Towne Cycles crew :)
