We had an appointment in Stittsville so had looked up where to eat. This restaurant had good reviews so we stopped in on Thursday at 12.30 pm. We grabbed a booth for the 3 of us. We were greeted promptly by a friendly server who took our drink order right away. After our drinks were delivered we waited 15 min before they came back to take our order, even though we were ready to order when they delivered our beverages, but they delivered and ran away. We ordered a latte and a cappuccino. Both tasted exactly the same , milky and bland, and we were disappointing considering they were $6 ea. Definitely done by day a push button machine. We waited about 25 min for our food to arrive. 2 of us ordered classic eggs Benny, the peameal was cold, the English muffin cold, eggs barely warm, the sauce was good but again not even warm. Onion rings were good. Chicken souvlaki, chicken was nicely cooked, and thankfully served warm. Salad was nothing special, tzatziki was tasty. We had finished almost half of our meal before we were asked how our meal was, so there was no point sending it back to be warmed up, we had a 2 hr drive home ahead of us. So for the 3 of us for lunch, with 2 lattes, and tip came to $130. Needless to say, we left quite disappointed. We had read great things and the food and service were both below average unfortunately. We won’t be going back, and definitely not for that kind of money. We don’t go out very often and we were really looking forward to a nice meal out for a treat. Btw, the lunch rush was over by the time we actually ordered, so one cannot pass the blame on that to excuse the slow service or cold food.
Excellent family owned and operated business. Food was delicious, no wait for a Sunday Brunch. Check it out for a home cooked feel.
Fantastic breakfast being served here! I had a traditional meal but there are tons of choices if you are in the mood for something unique. Two scrambled eggs, piping hot, sausage done just right, potatoes and an assortment of fresh cut fruit!! The coffee was excellent and the service too! The music was playing (80's music?) gently in the background which was perfect ambience. It is an open room, holds approx 50 people (tables and booths) so I imagine it would be noisy when busy but go ahead and treat yourself!! In the newer mall on Iber / Hazeldean Rd. There are multiple exits from the parking lot to get onto busy Hazeldean Rd.
We first went to Village Café for brunch in July 2024 and we loved it! Delicious food and great portions. We also heard that their Greek nights were amazing so when we were looking for a place to have a private event, we reached out to see if they could host a party for us in the evening. First, working with Jordan was wondeful. We are located in another province and coordinated everything with her remotely. We set up a limited menu for guests to pre-order (Thor Burger, Village Salad, Dirty Greek Pita, Salmon and chicken tenders for the kids) and they provided trays of appetizers (tzatziki and grilled pitas, dolmades, spanakopita and vegetable tray). They also provided a bar for us and the white wine sangria was very popular! We were able to decorate an hour before the party and they were very timely in putting out the appetizers and the food service for 35 people. The portions were generous and so delicious! Everyone was very pleased with the party. Big thanks to Village Café for their excellent service and delicious food - we will go back everytime we are in town!
I have been to The Village Cafe on weekends a few times in the past. This time around it was a Monday visit and was hoping for a quiet breakfast BUT the place was bustling and folks were still coming in and waiting their turn. Service is right up to the mark. I haven't had to wait to grab their attention. Anytime a server walked past they asked if I needed anything. Food is fresh and tasty (see the pics). The place has a family diner kinda feel and fits very well in the over Stittsville village ambiance. For atmosphere to get 5 stars they should seriously consider adding patio seating

Where fresh, homemade comfort meets warm village hospitality.
