My teen has been taking drum lessons from Doug for a few years now and I have nothing but positive things to say. He is patient and so well rounded in all things music. Doug not only knows the music my daughter has chosen to learn, but is able to talk about the band members and facts about the band.

I have both of my kids in lessons with Doug. He does a great job with communication, not only with me, but with both kids. He tailors the lessons to depending on each kid and talks to them on their level. He makes it fun while still teaching the fundamentals, and instilling the importance of practicing at home.

I’ve been going to Doug for about 3 months now and I’ve been improving a ton! I’m confident he would be able to adapt to a bunch of different learning styles. He lets you choose whatever music you want to learn and studies it even when you’re no there to make sure he knows what he is talking about. Going into my first lesson I was nervous as I had barely played guitar and had never gone to a music lesson, but looking back I had no reason to be worried! Doug has been extremely kind and patient with me as I’ve been improving. I highly recommend!

Both of my sons have taken lessons with Doug (guitar, piano, voice) over the past 4 years. Currently my youngest takes Voice. Doug has a great rapport with them and makes them feel very comfortable and confident in their progress. They really enjoy their lessons and music as a result. Doug has excellent skills and really cares about his students. Really glad we found T.O.L. Studios!!
