I had a disappointing experience with Top Notch Audio involving the installation on my 2011 Camaro SS. The system was installed with several fundamental issues that should not happen with a professional install. The capacitor was grounded directly to the battery instead of the chassis, critical factory grounds related to the vehicle’s charging system (RVC) were skipped, and the amplifiers were mounted in the battery well without proper consideration for heat, airflow, or wiring stress. To make everything fit, the trunk floor was forced back into place, creating a noticeable lump and putting pressure on wiring and equipment. This led to electrical instability and other issues that I later had to diagnose and fix myself. After correcting the grounding, layout, and wiring properly, both the audio system and the vehicle began functioning normally again, including improved audio performance and resolved electrical behavior. This confirmed that the original installation was not done correctly. I expected a clean, safe, and professional installation for my 2011 Camaro SS for the price paid. Based on my experience, I recommend asking very detailed questions and inspecting all grounding, wiring, and fitment before leaving your vehicle.
