I ordered two bottles of Ole Smoky Holiday Shine Nog and only received one, and the second item in my shipment was a completely different product from a company I’ve never heard of called Sugarlands. I did not approve any substitutions, and at no point during checkout was I notified that my seasonal item might be replaced with something else. For a limited, holiday product that people plan around and often give as gifts, this is completely unacceptable. What I expect is simple: either promptly ship the missing Ole Smoky Holiday Shine Nog that I actually ordered, or clearly notify and obtain my approval before making any changes to my order. If this is how orders are going to be fulfilled—sending unapproved substitutions from another company instead of what was purchased—customers deserve to know that up front so we can decide whether to buy elsewhere. Update: Total Wine has since refunded me for the cost of the incorrect item as well as the delivery charges. While I appreciate the refund and the follow-up, the issue with receiving an unapproved substitution for a limited, seasonal product remains an important concern. I’m glad the financial side was resolved, but clearer communication upfront would help prevent this situation for future customers.
This is a more of a corporate review. Fix your app. You should be able to order things that are currently “out of stock” through the app… we know it’s not going to be ready overnight but your employees are too busy to be answering the phones to take custom orders…. It should be an easy fix… I can’t believe it’s still like this!
This location has always had knowledgeable staff, but I was in on 11/06/2025. I met Seth near the bourbon section, and he schooled me on variety and mash bills. Unbelievable. Then we talked about our favorite spirits. I didn’t know there was an equal with Mezcal. After that I was looking for rum, and was turned on to unbelievably great flavors. Needless to say, I bought a few more, but I’m better for it.
Wide variety of alcohol, whole section upon entry is wines even labeled by country and sepcific flavor going left rum, vodka and the far left beers. Absolutely amazing how much they have here.
Went to buy a bottle of Taylor Port (3 liter) and the line was long. Soon as I get to check out the cashier asked for my ID even though I wasn’t the one to buy the Port. She says it doesn’t matter and that I would still have to go get my ID. She made it clear she wasn’t trying to be difficult but I felt otherwise since I am of age. I brought her the ID and she had me take it all the way out the clear pouch it was in my wallet. Great price for the Port- $23!
