An excellent bookshop and a vibrant part of the local community. With friendly owners and room to sit for a cuppa and cake. Highly recommend.

This is my first purchased from Truman Books, it having been the only place I could find the specific edition of Professor Alice Roberts 'Dominion' that I was looking for. Firstly, the basics: ordering was very simple, with a great website. Communication was excellent, and my book has arrived today in perfect conditions. No ridiculous delivery charges for posting to Scotland, and used Royal Mail for delivery. (No courier nightmares here!😁) Secondly, they do say it's the little things that make the difference, and I don't know why it's pleased me so much, but to open the cardboard box, and find a tissue wrapped and ribboned book inside, genuinely brought a huge smile to my face. The shop colours just shone out of the box. It was really beautiful. I don't know if this costs you much to add this little touch, but it was so very well received at this end. I just wish I'd taken a photo to add to this review. Thank you so much for your wonderful service.

What a wonderful bookshop, the staff are exceptional, very friendly, go out of their way to help with your preferences as to what book you should buy next. I have to say thankyou to the member of staff who had the time to chat about my love of a certain book and clearly one of his , I will never shop online again it was a joy, I hope readers will appreciate the importance of keeping bookshops available and support their dedication to the written word. Long may they continue ☺

Really helpful. Phoned in the morning to ask about Ben Miller childrens books. Pleasantly surprised better selection than big chain shops. Visited in the afternoon and were able to find what we were looking for. Hooray for small local shops! Great customer service
