Awesome place for finding something new and interesting. Thoughtfully curated! Shoutout to the 2 best employees in KC: Anna and Ellie.

We were leaving just as the live band was arriving, so cant talk about the entertainment. Still, to see regular music scheduled at a bookstore speaks to the esoteric vibe here. It features a deep collection centered on cultural struggle encompassing race, sex, class, war, poverty, the arts. You will not find much in the way of light, happy reading, but you can expect to be shaken out of complacency here on the wrong side of the street it shares with the Kaufman performance center.
