I’ve had the privilege to train Mixed Martial Arts with Master Abel Ucelo. His classes strike the perfect balance between discipline, intensity, and encouragement. Whether training for competition, fitness, self-defense, or overall personal improvement, he creates an environment where students can grow with confidence. He pays close attention to detail, corrects form with precision, and genuinely cares about each student’s progress and success.

My 5-year-old son started here in September, and we’ve had such an amazing experience. This program is truly a whole-person investment, not just martial arts. They focus on the mind, emotions, body, confidence, and overall well-being, and it really shows in the way they teach. All of the black belts and coaches are incredible with the kids. My son feels so comfortable here and, for some reason, turns into a little hyper squirrel the moment class starts, but they handle it perfectly. They’re firm when needed, but always patient, kind, and focused on helping the kids succeed. I absolutely love Sarahi. She is warm, welcoming, and genuinely cares about the families and the kids. You can feel the positive energy every time you walk in. I highly recommend this martial arts studio to anyone looking for a program that builds strong, confident, well-rounded kids, not just good martial artists.

So glad I found Ucelo martial arts for my granddaughter, she was five when she started she's 8 now and she has so much more confidence in herself physical abilities have improved tremendously master Able Ucelo his wife Sarah and all the instructors care so much for the students and it shows. They teach them discipline how to get along with others how to be a good citizen and never use might for personal gain but to use might for right their student Creed is awesome. Not only do they teach the students martial arts but also respect and responsibility I've already recommended them to so many other people they are amazing everybody there is family. They recently started teaching not just Karate but jiu-jitsu and other forms of martial arts to their students, my granddaughter moved up to sparring and now she goes three days a week and she absolutely loves it once we’re there she doesn’t wanna leave they throw trunk or treat events annual hikes at Thunderbird Mountain, they’re very first Easter event was a success and the annual potluck we just finished. It was better than good. When they say your family, they really mean it and they treat you like family. We absolutely love them and All the instructors and the dojo we’re blessed for having found this martial arts school ❤️

This martial arts school is an excellent place for children. My Son has grown so much and found something he really loves!!The instructors genuinely care about their students and foster a strong, family-like atmosphere. It’s a supportive, welcoming environment that I would highly recommend to any family.

My son has gone to Ucelo Martial Arts for over a year and has grown and gotten so much stronger. He loves to demonstrate and he is super focused. All the instructors are friendly and very good at teaching even large groups of children. The owners Abel and Sarah are wonderful and are really willing to work with you and are present. Everything from the annual hike, to fun Ninja nights (so parents can go out for a few hours while the kids enjoy games and movies). Such a great community at Ucelo Martial Arts! Highly recommend if looking for a Martial Arts family/program!
