Just a lovely experience from start to finish! Excellent customer service, carefully curated dishes and, a HH Omakase that can't be beat! The Suzuki was HEAVENLY! Would literally go back just for that! The coconut tapioca finisher was just perfect! My tummy is HAPPY! HIGHLY recommend!

I’ve been coming to Uchi at least once a month for nearly ten years, and I’ll keep this short: it is hands down the best restaurant in Houston, and without question the best sushi in the area. It is one of those rare places that never disappoints. The food isn’t just great—it’s amazing. The service is extraordinary. The staff works seamlessly as a team: your water is always refilled without asking, plates are cleared promptly, and what’s most impressive is how deeply knowledgeable the servers are about the menu. I won’t even recommend specific dishes, because you truly can’t go wrong with anything here. The only two things I’ll say are: don’t miss the Fried Milk (and if you’re lucky, you might even snag a pint to take home), and be sure to visit during happy hour, when they offer unique small bites not regularly on the menu and absolutely worth trying.

Uchi absolutely lives up to the hype. The atmosphere is intimate and stylish, the service is attentive and knowledgeable, and every dish is beautifully prepared with incredible flavor. Nothing felt rushed, and every recommendation was spot-on. It’s definitely a splurge, but the quality and overall experience make it worth it. Perfect for date night or a special occasion. Would happily return.

Finally I was able to visit uchi in Houston and was very excited. I sat at the shusi bar and really enjoyed watching all the sushi being made with such precision. The service here is spectacular and made our experience great. We came during happy hour and were able to try their happy hour 9 course tasting menu which was very good and fresh.. On top of that we order a couple of other things off the happy hour menu to satisfy us. I will come back as they have a good drink special and their lychee Martini was really good but no old fashioned on their happy hour menu. I think the only downside was maybe our expectations were too high but everything was good. We just left a little unsatisfied especially for the price. I can see our bill being doubled if we come outside of happy hour which I wouldn't be inclined to come back to. Overall it is very good with high quality ingredients what amazing service just turned away by the price point. Great for special occasions!

I’m from Canada and this was my first time at Uchi Houston. Honestly, it blew me away. I did the curated omakase and every single dish was not only beautiful but absolutely delicious. I sat at the sushi bar and it was such a cool experience watching the chef work and being able to chat with him as he prepared each course. It made the whole meal feel really personal and engaging. The service was fantastic. Super friendly and welcoming. They knew it was my first time and treated me with a lot of care and warmth. From the crudo to the edamame to the nigiri, everything was incredibly fresh and perfectly balanced. If you're thinking of going, do it. It’s more than just a meal. It’s an experience. Easily one of the best sushi dinners I've ever had.
