I highly recommend training with UP. I’ve been able to achieve results I didn’t think were possible when I started - which I think is a direct result of UP and specifically my trainer KJ. Throughout the program, KJ pushed me to become a stronger and better version of myself each session. As a former runner that wasn’t always confident lifting weights, KJ helped me build that confidence to step into any gym and be confident in lifting weights. I’ve also noticed that I can run longer and faster than I have in years. KJ’s support and motivation are a big part of making that possible. The gym also offers a great environment where all of the trainers and clients are friendly and supportive throughout workouts. It’s not uncommon for the trainers to rally around a client pushing themselves (whether on the sled or hitting a new PR). I look forward to going to my workouts in the morning at UP!
UP is a game changer! If you are looking for change in your physical and mental fitness - this is the place for you. UP’s got accessibility, good equipment, the facility is nice, and clean which is always a HUGE plus. What I love the most, are the positive vibes that you receive from the trainers. I have been training here for some months now and every time I walk through the door, it doesn’t matter who is there, I always feel welcomed. The trainers are phenomenal, they are knowledgeable, they communicate well, they are very strategic in helping you to gain strength, and focus, which can help you in your everyday life. They are coaches and hold you accountable in making lifestyle physical changes to help you get the best results - getting you fit. They are innovators and motivators-, and I love their team spirit. They all work together and will cheer you on even if you’re not their trainee, they want to see you look and feel your best. I have a fantastic trainer who coaches me and has helped turn my “I can’t” attitude, to “I can, and I will”. Thank you Kody for helping me to push, pushing me past my comfort zone to achieve my fitness goals. I can hear Kody’s voice saying …LT, you’ve got one more in the tank, let’s go! Because of Kody coaching me and stretching me to get to that next level in my fitness, and the encouragement that I receive from Evelyn and the other trainers, I am feeling and looking better than I ever have. I recently completed 48 sessions at Ultimate Performance at Metro Center in DC. I am grateful beyond words, for all the support that I felt there — and particularly from my personal trainer, KJ. KJ was (and still is) my biggest supporter and encourager throughout this entire journey. KJ is a great teacher and truly cares for his clients. I really appreciate how he adapted the training sessions towards my individual needs and abilities. And at the same time, he held challenged me and held me accountable in the best possible way — always with my best interests at heart. KJ helped me to gain the confidence I needed going forward so I can workout on my own now. Thanks to all the support I received from KJ and the entire team at UP, I’ve lost 40 pounds, my blood pressure is the best it has ever been in years, I feel stronger and have a confidence in myself that I didn’t have before. What sets Ultimate Performance apart from other gyms is that KJ wasn’t the only trainer who was personally invested in my success. I felt incredible support from the entire staff at UP. You can’t put a price on that. It’s worth every penny and more to have support like that.
Before finding Ultimate Performance (UP), I knew my health and fitness needed a serious overhaul, particularly given some unhealthy habits I’d developed. She is incredibly attentive, observant, and understanding. Even seemingly simple movements like bicep curls quickly revealed the need for proper form, a fact Cassie patiently pointed out. When certain exercises caused me discomfort, Cassie seamlessly implemented modifications and alternative equipment choices. Her expertise is invaluable; she’s teaching me the correct way to train, not just pushing me through a generic routine. Cassie's guidance transcends simple instruction; she's transformed my entire perspective on fitness. Each meticulously tailored session is both motivating and enjoyable. Her support isn’t confined to the gym either. She provides holistic guidance, helping me navigate digestive issues, sleep disturbances, and even offering strategies for mindful eating in social situations. Her unwavering support makes her an invaluable partner in this journey. The results speak for themselves. In just twelve weeks – I'd exceeded my initial weight loss goals, significantly reduced body fat, and gained noticeable muscle mass. Most significantly, previously abnormal bloodwork showed improvement. Now 23 weeks into my transformation at UP, I’m comfortably wearing clothes that make me feel confident and energized. I’m managing stress more effectively and approaching life with a renewed sense of optimism. For me, Ultimate Performance is more than just a gym. I’ve been a client here for about five months and have had an amazing experience. Everyone at UP is so welcoming and friendly; I train with Imari and he is the BEST! I’d never done personal training before, but wanted to build strength and do it safely in a structured environment that would provide guidance both in terms of training and diet. Imari provides the perfect blend of encouragement, discipline, and support. He’s always laser-focused on making sure my form is not just good, but as good as it possibly can be. He asks for and is always open to my feedback - if I want to change something, try something new, set a new goal, have questions, or need to make a temporary adjustment if I’m not feeling 100% one day, we work it out together. He’s also pushed me further than I know I would have ever pushed myself, and the results have been incredible. Every week I lift more and more weight and have gotten compliments from it feels like everyone in my life about how impressive the muscle I’ve built looks! I feel and look better and more badass than I’ve ever been in my life, and could not have done it without Imari and the whole team at UP.
