I saw what a friend had achieved at UP, so when I retired at the age of 57 I joined the Kensington UP branch with a goal of transforming body, my health and general wellbeing. I was aware it was an expensive option but having seen the results in real life I was willing to make the investment in terms of money, time and energy because I knew it would pay off. I was quite self conscious initially but I quickly got over that and followed all the guidance consistently. I quit alcohol and smoking. I ate 1350 calories daily from a healthy high protein diet, walked 15000 steps a day, drank 3 litres of water a day, slept 8 hours a night, and attended the gym 3 times a week. It was hard work and a daily challenge, but in just 6 months I dropped from 40% body fat to 19%. I lost 20Kg. I was strong and toned and I also looked 10 years younger. If a client consistently follows their trainer’s instructions (no cheating!) then results are basically guaranteed. And it happens quite quickly. Now over 3 years later having been inspired by the trainers at UP, I have built a healthy lifestyle around weight training, exercise and good nutrition. I feel like I am a new woman. I recently had my 60th birthday and a woman stopped me in the street today on my way to the gym and she said “can I just say you have a fantastic body”. For the first time in my life I am body confident. And most importantly I have never been happier. For anybody who wants to make the investment and is committed to the process, I highly recommend.
I joined UP looking to improve my fitness level, and to create more consistent training habits. 3 months in I can feel (and see) a lot of progress! My trainer, Sergio, has been a great coach through the process, making sure I learn proper form, checking in and encouraging me to work harder, and better. It is not an inexpensive program, but if you are looking to create better habits and are willing to do the work it is a great investment in your health and well being.
Amazing, a life changing experience. I've been with UP Kensington for 6 months. I've get a significant improvement in my physical form, not just in weight but also in performance and endurance. PT Steve has always been very supportive and motivating to keep going ahead, which is one of the most important parts to stay on track. It's definitely worth it. I have been with UP Kensington for the last 6 months. I can honestly say that it has been a life changing experience for me! I wasn't a gym person or into fitness at all but coming to UP to get help with my weight loss and stamina has totally converted me. I did my transformation 3 months ago and the support and encouragement I received from my fantastic trainer Jamie has been incredible. In just 12 weeks I came down from 33% body fat to 16% which I thought was unachievable!! UP isn't just a gym. They provide you with a 5 star service from nutrition advise to a tailormade plan for your exercise, depending on your needs. All the staff are super friendly and highly professional. I still continue to train at UP as I love it and have gained immense knowledge on healthy eating and fitness. This place really is amazing and worth investing in - you wont regret it!
