The West Coast Swing train and cruise trip was more than expected, with varied scenic stops during the journey highlights, being Yosemite National Park and the train ride along the Pacific coast! Our transportation modes were the best ever for traveling in a small, cohesive group. Our group leader was fantastic, catering to our every need and desire. I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a remarkable cruise with Uncommon Journeys, and I can confidently say it was an experience like no other! The journey began in Boston and took us to the breathtaking Gros Morne National Park, the enchanting landscapes of magical Greenland, and the charming streets of St. John's, Newfoundland. From the moment we boarded the ship, I knew I was in for something special. Each destination we visited offered its own unique beauty and charm, making every stop an adventure in itself. Gros Morne National Park was a highlight, with its stunning fjords and rugged cliffs that left me in awe of nature's grandeur. Greenland was nothing short of magical, with its vibrant colors and serene landscapes that felt like stepping into a dream. St. John's, with its colourful row houses and rich history was the perfect way to wrap up this unforgettable journey. A special shoutout to Christopher Kyte and the entire Uncommon Journey team for their exceptional service and commitment to making this trip extraordinary. Their passion for travel and dedication to creating memorable experiences truly shone through. I am so grateful for this incredible experience and can’t wait for our next adventure with Uncommon Journeys! I have taken two trips with Uncommon Journeys in the last year. August 2024 - Boston, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and Greenland by bus, train, and Princess Cruise Lines (Emerald Princess). My parents had taken a couple trips on UJ and raved about them so we all booked this trip with enthusiasm. They put us up at a five star hotel on the Boston waterfront the night before leaving Boston on the ferry for Cape Cod. Our tour manager, Teresa Archibald, was the absolute best. She made sure every need was taken care of and she never missed a beat. The owner, Christopher Kyte, joined us for this part of the trip and treated us to the best Lobster Rolls in Provincetown before boarding a small bus down Cape Cod. We saw lots of lighthouses, beautiful views, learned lots of history about the area and just had a fantastic time. We boarded the train in Barnstable and headed back to Boston. What a cool way to see all of Cape Cod in a day. We boarded the Princess Cruise the following day and were supposed to stop in Halifax, Nova Scotia the following day but due to fueling issues, we missed that port. We went to Cornerbrook, Newfoundland and then on to Greenland for two of three ports. One port was missed due to heavy fog. Then back to Newfoundland for St. Anthony and St. Johns. We hit a snag in St. Anthony but Teresa made sure we were able to see everything we wanted to see. Overall, that was one of the most fun trips I have been on, and our tour manager became family. January/February 2025 - 18 day cruise out of San Diego, visiting Oahu, Kaui, Maui, The Big Island, and Ensenada, Mexico on Holland America Lines (MS Koningsdam). A fabulous trip with excursions planned by UJ on each Hawaiian Island. We were on our own for Ensenada. The planned excursions were picked based on the beauty and history of each island. The only thing I wish had been included was a traditional luau, but we were able to schedule on on our own for the night we stayed over in Honolulu. Our Tour Manager held a couple of simple get-togethers on the ship and led our group on each excursion. There were a couple of mixups and some miscommunication along the way, but nothing major. All in all, another great trip led by UJ. For both trips, Anthony Vargas was our go to person in the office. He communicated all along the way and answered any and all questions I had - and I ask a lot of questions when dealing with this kind of money. Christopher, the owner, joined us on one of the islands for lunch so it was nice to see him there.

I had the pleasure of experiencing the most amazing cruise to Greenland and Canadian Artic. Absolutely extraordinary. What an absolutely fantastic experience we had on the 7-day, 4-port Mexican cruise aboard the Norwegian Bliss, all thanks to Anthony at Uncommon Journeys! He was an absolute gem, making every step of the journey effortless and enjoyable. Huge shoutout to Uncommon Journeys for making our first cruise an unforgettable adventure! From the delectable cuisine to the luxurious spa, breathtaking views, and sensational entertainment, every moment was pure magic.
