I was watching a friend's dog and the dog was not herself when she arrived. The next day she was lethargic and drooling unbelievable amounts of saliva. I was concerned and contacted my friend who told me to go ahead and get the dog in to the vet. Her regular vet was not able to get her in but referred me to Urgent vet of St Pete. I was able to make an appointment for first thing when they opened that day, which was wonderful! They were waiting for us at the door practically when we walked in. We had a wonderful vet assistant who was so sweet with the dog. Then the vet came in, Katie was her name. She gave the dog a thorough exam and took all of the information I had knowledge of. She gave terrific advice and today, just 24 hours later, my friend's dog is back to normal and happy! I have already put this vet care on my list of go-to's. I take care of other people's dogs and took a card from the desk so that I can refer people to them. I think they are terrific, and so wonderfully engaging with the animals that come into them. I felt very secure with the staff there who had a very friendly disposition and we're very patient to listen to All concerns and questions to answer. Five stars all the way for your Urgent Care needs!

I went to UrgentVet spur of the moment with my dog after a bit of a scare, and I’m really glad I did. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable, and they got us in right away. Everything was explained clearly. Highly recommend, Thanks again!

They were amazing! my dog got in to it with something in the backyard and needed a rabies shot bc I was just being cautious. It was so hard to find anyone who even carried the shots. He's a large pitbull and I'm always scared to take him to the vets bc gulf coast animal hospital was absolutely horrible to him when he was a puppy. They were so kind and LOVED my dog. one of the veterinarians came in just to pet him. they were so sweet and even gave me some flea medicine for free! Everyone was SO nice to us and I couldn't be more appreciative. I love this place and would recommend them to anyone.

Great place, so glad to have found them! They were so helpful after a scary time after hours. After my dog had what seemed like a seizure, they were honest on the phone and we were welcomed in when we got there. Karma was taken to triage immediately for vitals. I also appreciate that they understood that I'd like her to see her regular vet and just make sure she was ok for the night. Glad to know you guys are there for my 3 critters. I forgot the techs name but she was awesome with karma, as was charlie brown.

I have owned dogs all my life so I've been to quite a few urgent cares and emergency hospitals. There's only two places that I would go to and this is one of them. They're kind and their prices reasonable compared to other places. Unfortunately I've been there with a couple different dogs for elderly eye issues and back for my shih tzu and my Staffordshire for a return of cancer diagnosis and euthanasia. The diagnosed and treatment was correct. The staff was also very compassionate to my dogs and myself.
