It’s an incomplete gym, how do you not have lat pulldown or row machines? Worst of all, the music here sucks! 🗣️🗣️ Who is on aux? Walking in here and hearing Follow You by Imagine Dragons smh. Every time I walk in here, it either sounds like a Disney Channel special or an H&M commercial.
Great facility with tons of courts, weight rooms, racketball and more.
Great gym facility, located on the far east side of UT campus near the football stadium. Great workout equipment, as well as playing courts for various sports including squash and basketball. Gregory gym has a more prime location, but if you want to work out in a less packed gym, go to Rec!
The gym is not maintained. Much of the equipment is unusable and has been sitting like that for months. Some of the equipment is not safe to use. I injured my right shoulder because the bolts were missing and I fell to the ground. Since 3 months ago I filed a report and no action was taken. The bathroom is not cleaned and is a big mess. I do NOT recommend at all!
Great GYM. If I could, I'd give it 4.5/5. The reason for the lack of 5 stars is that this gym is great but not perfect. Gregory has a lat-pulldown machine yet somehow this gym does not. However, most of the equipment at Greg is way older than here.
Located at 2001 San Jacinto Blvd in Austin, the UT Recreational Sports Center is a comprehensive fitness and sports facility serving the University of Texas community and beyond. With a 4.3/5 Google rating, it offers a variety of courts, weight rooms, and specialized equipment for activities like basketball, squash, and racketball. While some reviews note equipment maintenance issues and limited machines like lat pulldowns, many praise its less crowded environment and modern gear compared to other campus gyms. Ideal for students, faculty, and locals seeking diverse workout options in a vibrant setting near the football stadium.
