We had the most amazing experience at V Modern Italian! Our server Scott was so attentive, answering any and all questions we had! We went for my fiancé’s birthday and the experience was incredible! Amazing hospitality and atmosphere! We will definitely be returning!

Picture Sex in the City. That isn't what I was lead to believe by the pics and other reviews. But did we have fun? Yes. So let's talk about it... I was expecting a larger slightly noisy Italian restaurant. It was for my wife's birthday and I wanted her to have a nice relaxing meal. Unfortunately it wasn't really relaxing. It was a nice meal, but its geared towards the modern "Yuppy" crowd. Younger groups of singles crowded into tables trying to talk over the music. Our waitress: She was pleasant, helpful and attentive. Cost$: Meals are $30 and up. Why people say it's a $100+ per person is if you drink. You by a few $20 drinks and you will hit that mark. The Food: It was well seasoned and properly cooked. My only complaint would be the sauce "gravy" on my short ribs was a tad salty. Delicious, but needed less salt. Atmosphere: Yuppy land. We were at a table for 2. Nice right? It could have been. But unfortunately the table next to us was 5 "20ish" ladies and one mom trying wayy to hard to be young. The music is bar level. So you have to lean in to talk quietly. I don't like sharing my business. We got a few minutes of no tipsy laughing while they cleaned the table next to us. Then a party of 8 younger women sat down. Fortunately we had finished eating. Pros: Good food, we had a great waitress Cons: Noise is party inspiration We would go back, but maybe in the day, on a nice spring afternoon and sit outside.

This place was amazing. Exeeded my expectations. We sat at the patio because we did not have reservations but the warmers made the temperature comfortable and the views were still great. The whole place has a very nice vibe and it was pleasant on a Monday. We were celebrating our sisters birthday and our server Rixy was great! She provided us with excellent service and was very helpful in recommending great plates. She definitely made her birthday night a great one. I will definitely recommend this place and advise that you ask for her as your server.

We visited tonight for my birthday and overall, we had a great night but beware of the parking situation. All the staff were incredibly kind, the food was outstanding and the details of the building and interior design were so unique and fun. The service though was sloowwwww!!! We sat down just before 7, we got our bowl of gnocchi and focaccia bread starters at 7:34, and didn’t get our two pizza entrees until 8:16. We were about to leave at the end of our meal when the waitress stopped us and brought me a small dish of ice cream and a sparkler. It was a very fun and kind gesture and we didn’t want to be rude. Well unfortunately this bowl of vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup costed us over $30. We got the parking code from the hostess since we parked at Modera (which gave us 2 hours of free parking). Unfortunately because of the slower service and the surprise bowl of ice cream, we were parked for 2 hours and 5 minutes which costed us $31.50 which is INSANITY. For FIVE minutes! I understand the cost of parking at Modera is not V Moderns doing, but this is where you recommend your patrons to park, and two hours just isn't enough time when service is slow. Again, overall we were pretty happy with our night out and our first visit to V Modern, and will probably recommend (with a warning) but I don’t know if we will be back.

Hilary our server was amazing. So friendly and attentive. Ambiance is incredible. The pasta was delicious. The pork chop unfortunately was like Jerky. I wouldn't get that again. But I want to go back to try more dishes. A great addition to downtown.
