My daughter started this taekwondo class a couple of months ago. She has tons of energy and gets easily distracted in new environments, but the challenges and routines here really help her channel it into something positive. Master Alan also sets a great example of discipline and focus. So glad we found this gem!

Hi, my name is Vivian. I wanted to share my sincere appreciation for Vancouver Martial Arts. I have learned an immense amount from Master Alan, and I am truly grateful for his dedicated teaching, patience, and expertise. The facility itself is a great space—it's welcoming, clean, and a pleasure to train in. I also want to thank the wider community. The other members are incredibly nice, and I deeply value the atmosphere of mutual learning. It's been fantastic to learn both from my peers and, especially, from the guidance and examples set by the senior belts. It truly feels like a supportive community where everyone helps each other grow.

When I first met Master Alan, his energy was so powerful. Right away I knew I was in front of an expert and wanted to join immediately. He made me wait three weeks, really testing my interest, and in the process I learned patience. I’ve always been ambitious and driven, often caught up in my own head, but I knew I needed someone outside of me to guide and ground that energy. That’s exactly what I found at Vancouver Martial Arts. I love Master Alan’s personality and the way he teaches clear, straightforward, and full of discipline. I had been craving that kind of discipline and aura for a long time, and now I feel supported in the best way. Every class is so much fun that the hour feels like it goes by in minutes. It takes away my stress and I always leave feeling stronger, more focused, and more productive. I feel lucky to be learning from expert himself with over 40 years of experience. This training keeps me mentally and physically strong, and I’m excited to keep growing under his guidance. Thank you, Master Alan! Ricky

I absolutely love going to class every week! I initially joined Vancouver Martial Arts because it would be a good workout but this class has taught me so much more. Master Alan teaches us the importance of concentration, respect, gratitude and leadership in taekwondo and life. I highly recommend giving Vancouver Martial Arts a try! It’s an exciting and rewarding journey!
