We love Vasilisa School! The teachers are excellent, and the school provides a caring and personalized approach to children. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and our son enjoys attending every Sunday. We can see his growth and how much he is learning. Thank you to the wonderful team for their dedication and support!
My 5 y/o kid attends Vasilisa Tutoring Center After school program for half a year and she really likes it! The staff are very friendly, professional and dedicated. They have various classes (including Chess, Math, Russian language etc.), my daughter's favorite are painting and cooking classes. The After school program provides hot meal, snacks and picks my kid up from the school that was the crucial criteria for me. Highly recommended!
My 4 and half year old granddaughter has been going to Vasilisa for almost 4 months now and we absolutely love it. Vasilisa is a relatively small school, it allows for a lower student to teacher ratio, giving children more confidence when asking questions and one-on-one time with the teacher. When my granddaughter started, the teacher was able to spend some time with her, adjusting to her pace of learning. All teachers , whether it’s a Russian language, art, yoga or chess teacher, are very professional, passionate about seeing their students to succeed. They are so great about sharing moments of pride within your child, their good behaviors and achievements. My granddaughter likes all classes, but cooking, art and yoga are her favorite. After 4 months she started memorize Russian alphabet and writing letters faster and cleaner. She is more interested in Russian books and asks more questions about the country we came from. I attribute all these changes to the teachers of Vasilisa. Great team! I always recommend Vasilisa to other parents on the playgrounds and to my friends.
Vasilisa is a great place for Russian speaking kids. The emphasis is on learning how to read and write, while being in a Russian speaking environment. My son has been coming here since he was three and started reading at 3.5. They also offer amazing art classes, and it seems like the owners are always coming up with the new fun classes/projects to do with the kids. The classes are held on Saturdays, as well as during the week - a great way to add some Russian to your kids' after-school activities. Bringing my son here has been helpful in keeping his interest in Russian language and culture. Great teachers, sweet kids. Highly recommend.
We started Russian language lessons in Vasilisa half a year ago for my daughter who was 6 and spoke some Russian with her babysitter. For this time she can read. She is reading Russian fairy tales for me before bed and I really think it’s a miracle that Tatiana (our teacher) taught her to read that fast knowing that Russian is the second language for my daughter.
