When I came to the VCA Pretoria to looks for.other options for an already lengthy journey for Frida's challenging URI to threat, I was lucky that Dr. Roxanna and the vet technician were very patient with all my question and concerns as we were running out of treatment options. I wanted also that the front desk staff for their attention.

Under new management. Under the old management was a great vet. Now sells you health care packages for a year of care, then when you book an appointment to use it won't book it for many months out, past the window of prepaid care, and tells you too bad so sad. I'd advise you to find another option.

I've been coming to VCA for a long time now - 9 years! I've brought my three cats and dog. My dog, Ellie, is nervous at the vet. When she was young and we first started coming to this clinic, she was very nervous and sometimes barky, so we had a few experiences where the staff seemed nervous, which made her more nervous and those weren't the best experiences. However, over the past few years, I have definitely noticed a big difference in the staff as everyone seems much comfortable around Ellie, which makes her feel comfortable too. They have "fear free" certified vets, and I think that has made such an improvement! Ellie now enjoys visiting the vet, even if she's still a bit nervous. We don't always see the same vet, its a mix, but each vet we've seen over the past few years has been fabulous. Same thing for when I bring in my cats! I would definitely recommend this clinic. It's also always very clean :)

This was our first visit to Pretoria Vet Hospital with our cat, Smokey, and as first-time cat owners, we couldn’t be happier. Dr. Ellis and the staff were incredibly welcoming, taking the time to answer all our questions and putting us at ease. The check-in and check-out process was quick and efficient. The clinic itself is clean, organized, and has a warm, friendly atmosphere. We also appreciated their transparency regarding costs. Highly recommend!

We‘ve been bringing our newest addition, Murphy here for all of his puppy needs. They actually caught 2 problems for our guy (itchy dirty ears and a UTI) that we may not have noticed otherwise. He’s always treated well, the staff are really friendly & he gets lots of treats. They explain the medications to us, care for after shots and discuss different options with us, as well as leaving my partner and I to discuss our thoughts in private (so you don’t have to say yes right away to treatments/shots/etc.). We’ve seen several vets and techs and have had no concerns with any of them, and they even remember our little guy when we come in. They’re very patient and kind and I’m happy we found them to ease the transition of becoming puppy parents and caring for Murphy!
