I have personally used TVEH over the last decade and a half f for multiple senior dog emergencies and my most or recent trip last month for two cats. The people who work at this vet, whether front desk, triage or emergency veterinarian are incredible people. What they see on a daily basis must be overwhelming and quite possibly heart breaking at times. Even with that they are able to act quick, fast and professional. Five years ago my dog was rushed there needing emergency blood transfusion and treatment. We ended up getting 5 extra years with her, where she passed of old age. 7 years ago, they were able to keep my dog happy and healthy as he had conjestive heart failure. Even with the diagnosis, due to their on going efforts he lived a full life, passing to it eventually, years later as a senior. My last encounter was when my cat went into sudden cardiac distress. I called on the drive and was able to meet the doctors directly in the lobby. Unfortunately my cat was passing and there was no other medical interventions that could have been done. No up-selling, realistic conversations and true compassion. I fully believe the doctors tried their hardest, acted fast and provided all the ethical care they could for her. They had her checked and fully assessed within minutes in a moment where time was critical. I truly believe they were the best people to help and she was in the best care. Unfortunately, CHF can be bigger than us all. I want to thank the team for their decades of help for my family. They’ve been there through some of our worst moments, and were able to on multiple times; give me many many years with my beloved pets. Special thanks to Dr Elias and team for my last visit. And to the receptionists for their professionalism and care. True heroes, thank you!
I brought my dog to emerg here and Dr. Katryna was amazing. she was incredibly kind, patient, and extremely thorough. she took the time to really explain everything to me in depth and answered all my questions without ever making me feel rushed. you can tell she is smart and knows what she’s doing, she made both me and my dog feel very comfortable and cared for. the team followed up right away the next day with his results and continued to check in until he was feeling better. thank you so much for the excellent care
FIND ANOTHER PLACE!!! My dog had a hip dislocation and was in severe pain. When something like this happened in the past, another clinic took care of it for ~$300 and the Vet fixed it in 2 min. The Vet here said “they do things differently here” — and that they certainly do. >$1,000 and 8 hrs of wait time after, they asked me to pay without knowing what they were charging. When I mentioned they could not do that, they allowed me to see a computer screen with the charges for sedation, x-ray, hip reduction, and fixing with a similar maneuver to the previous Vet. They did not examine her until 2 hrs after arriving, then said in 2 hrs she should be ready. We left after 8 hrs. No matter if you have to drive elsewhere, the drive is worth it and much better than this. The College of Veterinary Medicine should open an investigation into this place.
Dr. Agatha Kisiel handled the intake for our 13yo male cat Chartreux's humeral fracture, and Dr. Carl Porter performed his surgery 2 days later. He is now at home recovering with very detailed instructions for wound care and pain meds, and follow-ups in the next few weeks. We already see him starting to put weight back on the paw. At every step of the way he was handled with care, professionalism, and thorough attention. We were kept updated every day. Quotes were detailed, transparent, and accurate. Dr. Porter was extremely patient and helpful in discussing options, tradeoffs, and post-op care. At no point did we ever feel rushed, that something was being overlooked or missed, or that decisions were being made on the basis of money. We feel like Chartreux's long term well being was prioritized at every step. Surgery is expensive, but that's what pet insurance is for. We are so grateful to the team at TVEH - thank you.
Sadly the two times I came here it was to say goodbye to my 2 pet chihuahuas. I came here once in 2022 and today 2025. Both times coming here I received amazing service by the doctor and the front staff. They were super understanding, and compassionate. They took their time to explain and gave us space to spend our last moments with them. The first time we came they offered us 2 options for my dog but unfortunately we had to decide on the most humane but sad decision to put down my 15 year old chihuahua that was suffering with a failing liver. Second time we came in with our second senior chihuahua that had already gone from a coyote attack. When we walked in we were treated right away with the same kindness and compassion as the first time we came. They gave us our space and explained the process again. The cremation service and urns + foot print was expensive (first time $1000, second time$$850) I say it’s worth it for my childhood, fur siblings and best friends, money can be made again. Thanks for the great time and memories, rest in peace Daisy and Rex 💖 Thank you to all the doctors and staff.
