LOVE visiting Verlan. The food is always fresh and delicious, and comes with a side of character and charm from Trish and her trusty right hand Victoria. The room is cozy (make a reso as it's only 4 tables) and inviting, plus they have a great selection of take home items like coffee, wine, preserves and some baked goods. Pro-tip- don't skip the french onion soup!

Trish is the most sincere owner and sweetest server. This French inspired dine in restaurant offers intimate seating. The crepes were cooked to perfection with the most delicious homemade tomato jam! I also have to shout out the boozy coffee recommendation (it did not disappoint). My only regret is not visiting sooner. I would recommend making a reservation if you are considering dining in! I highly recommend this to enjoy the experience.

The best breakfast I’ve had in AGES. The best freshest ingredients. Trish the owner was warm and friendly and the attention to detail was evident from the food to the vibe and everything in between. This place is perfect for that special meal or a casual get together. If you love crepes and fresh actual homemade food, then this is the spot for you.

The most welcoming, friendly, helpful staff and such a unique menu. Absolutely incredible experience - delicious and felt like a friend was cooking for us even though it was our first time there. Highly recommend but do make a reservation as it is a cozy, intimate space!

Verlan is truly a hidden gem in Hamilton that more people need to know about! The space is small but cozy, and I loved being able to see the kitchen and watch Trish work her magic. Trish was nothing but kind and sweet — she took the time to talk with us, share the story behind the place, and even recommend dishes. She’s such a fun person, and her energy made the experience that much better. The menu was honestly hard to choose from because everything looked so delicious. Each dish was prepared with care, and the flavours were absolutely impeccable. Everything was so fresh and thoughtfully made. I actually felt sad when I took my last bite because I didn’t want it to be over! I’ll definitely be sharing this spot with family and friends, and I can’t wait to come back. Highly, highly recommend!
