Not good for family swimming due to poor changing rooms. Family changing room too small and never have enough lockers! The adult locker rooms are not welcoming so it is a disappointing experience all round!

I am writing this review as a long-term member of Village Gym Edinburgh to express my growing frustration with the direction this club is heading. While my membership fees seem to increase every single year, the actual maintenance and condition of the gym are rapidly declining. It is completely unacceptable to demand higher prices while offering a worse environment for your members. The main issues are becoming impossible to ignore: • Poor Equipment Maintenance: As shown in my photos, much of the equipment is in a state of disrepair. From ripped upholstery and exposed foam on benches to multiple machines sitting with "Out of Order" signs for extended periods, it’s clear that repairs are not a priority. • Hygiene Standards: Most of the time, there is no blue roll available to wipe down equipment. In a high-traffic gym, this is a basic hygiene requirement that is consistently missed. • Price vs. Value: I understand that equipment breaks occasionally, but there is a fundamental disconnect when the gym's only "improvement" is the price of the membership. You cannot continue to hike fees while the facility itself feels more neglected every month. I’ve reached a point where I can no longer justify the cost for a gym that feels like it’s falling apart. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and starts reinvesting our membership fees back into the equipment.

It is incredibly easy to sign up for a membership but almost impossible to cancel it.
