I have contemplated writing this review for a couple of years and admittedly, I kept getting sidetracked. VBVH has provided care for my Shih Tzu since I moved back to the area 3 years ago and recently has been providing care for my cat who appeared on my front step earlier this year. The care my babies have received has been consistent, caring, reassuring, and professional. The ENTIRE team from the front desk staff, the technicians, and the doctors are all exceptional! There is never a moment where I have to question whether my babies are in good hands. I love hearing the technicians speak fondly about my animals while they’re being examined in the back. It makes me feel so good knowing that my babies are being cared for by a staff who clearly genuinely loves animals and what they do. It is consistently seen in the quality of care they provide. If you’re looking for a veterinarian in the area, I highly recommend VBVH. Thank you, VBVH, for everything you do and have done for my family!

I took both of my cats there on a bust Saturday, we were seen within an hour and got great care and attention to both of my kitties on a routine wellness check. Everything was explained to me in a digestible way with simple recommendations on how to improve my husbandry. Would recommend to my friends with pets!

I can’t say enough good things about VB Veterinary Hospital! The staff at the front is always welcoming and helpful. They dote on my Luna girl and are so patient with her. She still has puppy energy and they never make me feel bad if she’s a little wild, which reduces my stress. All of the doctors are amazing - so knowledgeable and they always take time to answer my questions, never making me feel rushed. I also feel like the wait times to get an appointment and in the office for your appointment are appropriate/much better than I’ve seen elsewhere. Highly recommend!

Dr. Baker has cared for 6 cats and 3 of our dogs for the past 10 years. He spends time explaining test results , offers possible treatments. He has done surgery on our pets, found health issues and given ideal care. He literally has saved one or our dogs lives and greatly added to all their quality of lives. His medical team and front desk staff are ALWAYS polite and patient. I highly recommend this pet hospital and all the Doctors working here. You won't be disappointed!

Dr. Baker is our favorite vet in Hampton Roads. We left the practice last year when we moved and went to a different veterinary clinic and had to end of coming back because there is just no comparison in care and knowledge compared to him! I trust both of my golden retrievers with him for any and everything. We have had surgical procedures, labs, as well as all of the routine care needs and everything we have had done here has been amazing.
