I came here recently for a craft fair. It is now Christmas time and I found it to be a perfect place to look for unique gifts. This space is actually rented out to various artists so it is an artist space. They have Craftsman in here from pottery makers to painters, caricature artists to jewelry makers. The craft fair itself was an explosion of unique gifts and truly an expression of wonderful talent to be found here in San Jose. From the advertising provided they offer a classes in different skills. So if you're interested in learning something or increasing a hobby this might be a place to look into.
Came to Visual Philosophy recently for an "introduction to Blacksmithing" class as part of a team-building event. Excellent experience in all aspects. Wyatt (the Executive Director) and the other staff were very helpful, courteous and professional in all interactions. They went over safety instructions carefully, patiently answered all our questions and paid close attention to help correct any mistakes we were making. I highly recommend the studio and will definitely be coming back for other art / maker classes.
Amazing experience after almost 50 years later. I am a retired engineer, who took workshop in college where I was introduced to smith shop. I reexperienced that awesome classes that I learned Smith shop workshop almost 50 years later with all the advancements.
We did a corporate BlackSmithing event here with 12 people. The staff were knowledgeable and I felt incredibly safe after the briefing. It was really fun and I ended up with a bottle-opener keepsake. I thoroughly recommend them for this kind of event.
Such an awesome spot for various art classes. The instructors are super passionate and knowledgeable. Came here for welding lessons and it was such a safe and fun environment to try something new. Highly recommend coming here to learn and interact with people in the field!
