It was an amazing experience working with Volvo Design to make my website . I wasn’t so sure about what I wanted but they welcomed all my ideas and kept me in the loop of everything. My website came out pretty amazing and I just want to thank them from the bottom of my heart . As a small business owner is really important to me to support another small business. Quick summary - responsive until they received my full payment, then no progress after 1 full year. As a small business in San Francisco, we wanted an updated web site just for company info and pictures. Jason had quoted a quick turnaround - 2 weeks for a logo re-design and a total of 6 weeks for the web site to go live. 1/31/2023 - received a quote from Jason at Voco Design 2/1/2023 - I accepted the quote and paid my 50% deposit 2/9/2023 - logo re-design delivered and accepted 3/8/2023 - web site mock ups delivered and accepted 4/12/2023 - invoiced for remaining 50% and paid it The following steps is when everything broke down Between May and June of 2023, either myself or Jason was out of town/country, so we could not finalize. 8/2/2023 - Jason requested access to my web hosting server to start uploading. I have not seen any changes to my web site at all. Since then, I have not been able to get a commitment from Jason or his team. Jason has sent me messages saying he was out of town, medical emergencies, etc which I can totally understand and was willing to wait for him. I had called his office and Tom had responded to look into it, but I have now been ignored by Tom as well. As of 2/1/2024 (one year later!!), I have sent an email to Jason and Tom to just close the project. They can refund me some portion of my 100% paid job, but they have not responded. I have changed the password to my web hosting as a precaution. I am willing to call this a loss and mark it as a lesson learned working with design companies. Maybe my company was too small for them, but seems my money was good enough for them
I originally contacted Jason and the Voco Design team as I was starting a new business and needed a website, logo design, print marketing materials, and a comprehensive web marketing scheme, including SEO, social media, etc. I needed the full spectrum of what goes into starting a business. Voco Design came through for me 100%. From the customer service (friendly and responsive), to the design ideas (better than my expectation), and then implementing all of it with class and quick turn around times. Jason understands the challenges of marketing a small business and how to get the results you need quickly, with exceptional quality and some fun while you're at it. Voco's SEO service got my business on the first page of Google in under a month. That speaks for itself. Highly recommended
