Got an appointment for early afternoon on 5-10-26 for two new tires. I had stopped in early morning to see if they had any in the size I needed and if they had an availability at all. The guy that took care of me was super nice, friendly and helpful. Probably one of the if not the nicest person to ever help me at a Walmart let alone a retail store. Went in for my appointment and everything was fast and super efficient. If anyone from Walmart actually pays attention to these reviews, you have a couple of good ones in the auto center.

Honestly I read the reviews after I was already sitting down for service and was kind of stunned at how bad they were. Everyone I spoke with was kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Not to mention it was timely and cheap. Had an appointment from 7-8am for tire installation and I was out at 8am. Also got my wiper blades/oil changed. Both went great! Wish I got the name of the tech who did my tire installation he was super friendly. Will likely return should I need tires replaced again.

If you want to be treated like a nuisance and not a paying customer this is the perfect place. I came in at 3pm on a Sunday for tire change. They said they were too busy so they didn’t schedule me in for the day. Understandable. I call and schedule an appointment for Tuesday. I come in at the scheduled time and apparently I was never put on the schedule. The blonde “lead” made no effort to help me or escalate the issue. The whole time she just seemed annoyed I was even there. I wasn’t being rude, I just stated that they seemed to forgotten to actually schedule me. These people are purely incompetent. Never coming here again for auto needs.

Update 04/03: Took my car to Fleet Farm auto and they had no issue with the tire tread and they had no problem getting the lug nuts and tire off. Job was done in 1.5 hours. Walmart is a bunch of lazy workers that lie! :) I had scheduled my car for a battery replacement solely for their policy of if you buy a battery from Walmart, the install is free because for my car you have to remove the tire to get to the battery and most other places would charge labor. We called multiple times prior to scheduling an appointment asking if that would be an issue or an extra charge and were told it would be free. My cars battery is dead so we had to portable jump start the vehicle to get it to the Walmart for the appointment. We had stopped the car off around 3:30pm for a scheduled 4pm appointment. We dropped off early so we could go run errands and come back when it was done. We received a phone call at 4:45pm telling us that in order for them to change the battery, the driver front tire needed to be removed but according to them, the tread wasn’t legal for them to put back on after the battery replacement and we would need a new tire. We replaced the tires on the car a little over a year ago so we thought it was unnecessary but we said no problem, we will pay for the tire. They agreed and resumed service, or at least that what’s we believed. We did not get a text notification saying the service had started until 6:41pm and the auto department closes at 7pm. They called us again at 6:51pm saying they could not get the tire off due to seized bolts and they did not have the tools to break it. At this point we are mad and went back to pick up the key and was told to pick up at the FRONT customer service desk. We arrived at 7:15pm, stood in line for 15 mins at the service desk only to be told the key is back in the automotive dept. We spoke with two people from the service department and a coach, after looking at the tread on our tires and it was FINE. Again, these tires were put on maybe 14 months ago. We truly believe they realized they had to remove the tire to get to the battery and decided they didn’t want to do the job so came up with ridiculous excuses and gave us the run around and wasted my time. The automotive employee was also smiling and laughing when we were expressing our frustration which was extremely unprofessional. NEVER get service here unless you want low quality technicians handling your vehicle that do not want to put in any effort.

One car in the shop. At least five employees just standing around. "It might take two hours to repair a tire".

I have always gone to walmart for my tires and my experience has always been good. This time however.... i watched 1 man work on my tires while the other two workers [ben and the female "lead" (i didn't catch her name, red head)] sat on the tires and chatted and flirted the entire time. Meanwhile an older woman was still waiting (got there an hour earlier than me) for her vehicle to even be brought in for an oil change. The hispanic man worked diligently and deserves a raise and leadership should definitely be revisited. Very unfortunate.
