I was able to buy everything I needed for a birthday party and it cost me less than $50.00! THANK YOU WALMART!!!!
I had nothing but issues with the security gard driving around the parking lot. I was parked there late because of car issues and he would not listen to me at all. Just continually barked at me about being parked there. Exclaiming that Walmart doesn't allow overnight parking! I was broken down having issues with my car. Was of no help whatsoever. Contiguely interrupted me every time I tried to tell him why I was parked there. Making extremely rude comments. Along with threats of calling the police to have me removed. When I took the notion to just ignore him since he didn't want to listen to me at all. He sat there in his security vehicle honking. Was nothing but problematic. This was at approximately 3 am on January 2nd. Upon visiting the same store this evening to one get some groceries and the other to collect one of the people that I live with when they got off work at midnight. The same person pulled up on me and started honking at me when I was doing nothing wrong and with it being during there regular business hours. When trying to be civil and have a conversation explaining what I was doing. They were extremely rude again and even said I was lying to them. On the basis of having "bedding in my car". Which I had just gotten a comforter for my bed at goodwill earlier that day. I simply didn't want to go all the way home and have to turn around again and go back out again when I was in need of groceries also. Gas isn't cheap so on top of not waiting to have to go back out after getting home. I was just going to wait for my roommate to get off work. I guess being a paying customer and a workers ride home is against Walmart policy to slbe parked in there lot. Extremely disappointing and overly disrespectful. This being a perfect example of what is wrong with today's society. Today being Jan 8th. Just to add when I asked the security personnel what there name was and how to contact there supervisor they refused to give me either. The company name on the vehicle is Allied Universal.
Overall, good customer service throughout. Inventory out of stock from time to time (be it due to internal or external circumstances). Sometimes challenging to get a shopping cart that rolls smoothly (something common these days, but really must be addressed, even with outside-the-box thinking: e.g. how about stocking up on spare parts for quickly changing out missing, damaged, or worn-out parts). Also missing, sometimes, are the plastic, foot-long, square-tubed merchandise divider bars (aka checkout dividers) that go in between customers' merchandise, making it a challenge to keep each customer's merch organized. Upper management first serves cashiers and ultimately customers by maintaining enough checkout dividers at each cashier station, and in more ways than one. (How could a major corporation like Walmart fall so short, so often, on something like this?) Generally, an overall good store and good customer service with professional and friendly staff, sporting a positive attitude, which makes for an overall good ambiance ("air") and shopping experience, something that's greatly appreciated. (One exception being an encounter with a younger staff member who imposed a remarkably unprofessional—as in excessively pushy—attitude around closing time. Another being new hires who openly admit their English communication skills and abilities are limited, sometimes extremely limited, wherein they first call for help from other coworkers. However, fortunately, that phenomenon may be trending downward to the point of being experienced less and less, both because of who Walmart is hiring and the overall pool of people applying to work at Walmart, maybe related to variations throughout the general population. Thank you, one and all at Walmart. For your service. It's greatly appreciated.
I went in on Christmas Eve. I had four items in my hand and prepared to be in line forever. When I went to pay I went to the self checkout 15 items or less. There was an employee who ensured those in line only had 15 items or less and escorted those who did not to another line. This line was very long but went surprisingly fast due to the employee ensuring only 15 items. I didn't have to wait long at all!!
So here we are again. Merchandise strewn all over the place. I was here for a good hour waiting on somebody so it wasn't just a moment that this happened. Staff was hanging around and chatting with each other but it looked like there wasn't a care in the world. Here it is in all it's glory.
