I usually enjoy visiting Waterstones and have always found it to be a welcoming space. During my visit today, however, I left feeling a little unsettled. When I asked for help, the interaction felt brief and less supportive than I had expected, especially compared to the assistance I noticed others receiving around me. It may not have been intentional, but it did leave me feeling a bit overlooked. I’m sharing this as gentle feedback, as Waterstones is a place I value, and I hope future visits feel more inclusive and comfortable for everyone.

Had a lovely experience at Waterstones today! John helped me finally get a book I’ve been looking forward to and made the transaction seamless for me. Afterwards I headed over to the cafe and the barista, Lily, was the absolute sweetest and created the cutest frog foam art on my matcha 10/10

Lots of book off course. The kids section is particularly rich which gives us hope for the future. There are a good lot of gadgets and toys and mugs for kids and adults alike. The shop is very big so there are also loadsa books ranging feom best sellers to more off-beat stuff. The business section is a bit meager but the selection is good - from the classic like Steve Covey to more recent trending books for example from Kahneman. Coffee shop and reading area is a temptation !! The till looked pretty busy so looks like this formula of book store is survinig despite Amazon. Staff helpful and knowledgeable and their computer searches helped off course. Support your local book store - on-line is not always cheaper!
