I have struggled to find a suitable company and fell upon Weir Law Solicitors- Tim Weir reviewed a number of documents I had sent him to initiate engagement. Tim very openly and frankly advised me of a number of complex matters our father’s Will contained and also that IHT was likely to be incurred due to some other historical decisions- he offered all this with no benefit to his company as some of the complex trust work was outside their remit - genuinely very impressed by him and their ethics - would not hesitate to use them when we need a solicitor again. If you have encountered problems with Confirmation/Probate, I strongly recommend you to contact Weir Law Solicitors registered with the Law Society of Scotland. When my first DIY application was unsuccessful, I was in dismay. I then searched internet for a fixed fee confirmation/probate service. I contacted one firm and was asked for an upfront payment. As I wasn’t comfortable with this arrangement, I contacted Weir Law Solicitors. Although everything was done online, I found Mr Tim Weir’s step by step comprehensive instructions given in a professional and courteous manner, very reassuring and helpful. I knew I was in safe hands. Thanks to Tim, my second application was successful. I cannot recommend Weir Law Solicitors highly enough.
