I attended an event at The Stampede in Livermore where your winery was hosting a wine tasting. I went up to the table as a genuinely interested potential customer. I am 25 years old and I enjoy wine tasting, Napa trips, and exploring local wineries, so I was excited to learn more. The staff member working the table was immediately standoffish. When I asked basic questions about your winery and the wine being poured, she gave short, dismissive answers and showed no interest in engaging. When I handed her my ID, she stared at it in silence for an unusually long time even though it clearly states that I am over 21. She then questioned why it was still vertical. The reason is simply that it was issued to me right before I turned 21. This ID has been accepted without issue at bars, wineries, airports, and international venues. What made the interaction more uncomfortable is that after I walked away, I saw her whisper to her coworkers and laugh. I cannot say with certainty what they were talking about, but combined with how differently I saw her treat other customers that night, it made me feel singled out. I am an Asian woman in a predominantly non Asian area and I am also aware that I look younger than I am. I do not know if the treatment I received was racial bias, age bias, or something else entirely, but the difference in how she interacted with other people was noticeable. I am not trying to get anyone in trouble, but as a customer who was genuinely considering your winery, the experience left a very negative impression. This type of public facing role requires basic customer service skills, familiarity with state ID formats, and the ability to treat all guests with respect. I strongly encourage better training for staff who represent your brand at events, because this interaction discouraged me from wanting to try or purchase your wines in the future.
I had no idea there were so many great wineries in Livermore. Way less crowded than going to Napa. We had a very nice experience wine tasting. We made a reservation ahead of time and I’m so glad we did. The tasting room was busy! There was also a wedding rehearsal going on as well as a couple of bus loads of visitors. Once we were seated, our server greeted us soon after. It seemed like she made a false assumption about us, so we decided to have a bit of harmless fun throughout our tasting. She handled it well. 👌🏾 The wines we sampled were good. I don’t think any of us were completely WOWed by any particular wine, but we enjoyed them enough. Since we had lunch before arriving, we didn’t order cheese boards or any food. Overall, we had a nice and relaxing evening. We left with five bottles of wine by joining the wine club.
A bit surprising to see so many low reviews. Been here twice, last time was years ago, but both times have been a great experience. Made a reservation online, was seated promptly. Service was excellent. Friendly and knowledgeable. We did tastings of both their family $40 and nth degree $50. 5 wines on each, mix of white and reds. We were able to try some additional wines they had open already as well. Wines were pretty good overall. Consistent with the last time I came. Only negative is the high prices but it's expected given they are one of the biggest name wineries in LV. Beautiful property. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely worth visiting
First ever experience wine tasting in California. We came from our road trip from Wisconsin and have become a brand loyalist from this experience alone. Thank you Shelia. The experience was amazing and we called ahead just to see if we could stop bybecause the tastings were booked online. They were able to get us in for an amazing tasting experience that ended in us joining the wine club. I felt like I was treated with respect and joy. I didn't feel out of place or unwanted for my inexperience. It felt like a midwest welcome. We want to come back yearly now. Sheila was lovely and informative. I enjoyed her candor and experience. This whole place was amazing and I cannot stop gushing over it. Everyone was so friendly. Thank you for such a memorable moment.
Beautiful winery with tasty wine. The staff working with us was very courteous and helped explain their wines. They have great seating outside with large umbrellas to give you cover. I wish they served some small bites during the wine tasting.
