I was excited to go to the place because I had heard some good stuff about it by a few people. I went for my birthday November 3rd, so I was ready to celebrate with some people and feast. I ordered beet carpaccio as an appetizer it the smallest salad it was like 2 bites and it was very underwhelming. I got the wagyu rib eye medium rare and it was supposed to be about a4 wagyu, which a5 is the best but they didn't have it. Either way this meat should be succulent and melt in your mouth, well it wasn't it tasted like a cheap steak from food king, and i love food king, shout out to food king, but food king doesn't sell quality steak or wagyu period. This steak was tough, very hard to bite into and 75 percent of it was fat. My steak came with 5 of the saddest, anorexic asparagus and I kid you not a dollop of mashed potatoes the size of a quarter. My other guests, which were 2 other people. One of my guests ordered steak tacos and he said it was good. And my other guest ordered a steak and she said her steak was tough and chewy. She told me she would never come back to this place again. I told her we have to let the manager know, she said no it's ok I'll just never come back. So I called the manager over and told her about the situation and the female manager just listened to our concerns and basically placated us. The manager did end up taking 20 bucks of my tab but I had spent about 400 bucks. Now ruth chris would not allow this, if you want a great steak go to Ruth Chris! I do have to say my waiter was great and my truffle lobster Mac and cheese was the only thing great. I should have just ordered that! In the end I will do what my guest said and I will never come back. Goodbye weso for good!
This restaurant is very beautiful. Service was okay, I've definitely had better service elsewhere. Drinks were absolutely delicious! Our food on the other hand was a hit and miss. The lamb chops were good. The pasta dish we got was very bland and lacked favor. The restaurant has a very particular smell that I wasn't a fan of. Lastly, one of the servers was dragging and moving chairs around for a solid 15 minutes. Instead of lfting the chairs up and moving them around, he just kept dragging them across the restaurant. It was really annoying to try to speak and chairs were being dragged right in front of us
Leslie was absolutely wonderful! She was friendly, attentive, and made our anniversary dinner feel extra special. She checked on us at the perfect times, offered great recommendations, and made the whole evening feel warm and welcoming. The food and atmosphere were amazing, but her service truly stood out — thank you, Leslie, for making our night memorable!
Weso has been one of the best restaurants we’ve tried here in El Paso! From the start, the service was great and the hostesses were very welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious, the bone marrow was incredible, especially with the handmade tortillas to enjoy it with. The empanadas de huitlacoche were another highlight. You don’t often find that dish in El Paso, and it was so flavorful. The new pasta dish, “Palmita,” had a wonderfully natural cheese flavor, and the porterhouse steak was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, perfectly paired with the brussels sprouts. The only downside was that we were hoping for a bit more privacy, as the dining room felt a little too open, and the margarita unfortunately tasted like water. Aside from that, it was an excellent visit overall.
My girlfriend and i went in to celebrate her birthday and we had one of the best dinning experiences of our lives. The food was amazing cooked perfectly and my favorite part was definitely the dessert. Ruben has the most amazing service and great recommendations. We were hoping to find a place to celebrate our anniversary next month and i just KNOW this is the perfect place for us. Delicious food, drinks, and over all atmosphere. The staff made us feel special and you could just tell they give this service type of service to all their guests! We cannot wait to come back next month !
