Convenient, friendly service! Bikes were good and they allowed us to switch to new batteries part way through the day. Very short walk from the cruise ship terminal. Good way to spend the day. Perhaps suggested routes and specific maps based on duration of rental would benefit people planning their day.
Beach cruisers were rideable didn’t seem to be in the best condition. Employees weren’t the friendliest either but not that that’s super important for the experience I guess.
We always come here on our annual San Diego trips and rent a tandem bike! It is so so much to ride around on with your spouse. Highly recommend this location! Great customer service and very knowledgeable.
Christopher and Kristin were great. They ended up letting us peddel around for 2 hours for the price of one. The bikes were really fun and easy to use. They were great even after having surgery 3 days ago. It was perfect to explore the city while waiting for our flight home to Colorado. We rode all along the bay, it was beautiful!! Thanks. We cant wait to come back.
DO NOT RENT A BIKE FROM THIS PLACE! For $35 to rent a $400 hybrid bike for a day one should expect to get a reasonable tuned bike, or at least a bike that is safe. For starters the rear break was pretty soft. I noticed it right away when they gave me the bike but figured it just need a slight adjustment. Nope, the screw was completely stripped out! Later while biking the chain on my bike derailed into the spokes of the rear tire and I ended up crashing and cracking a rib. I was 10 miles away from the shop and my hotel but fortunately I had brought my tools with me and I was able to get the chain out. It was at this point I realized how dirty the drivetrain was which was probably why it jumped off in the first place. Anyway I limped back to the shop where I started to nicely complaing about how bad of shape the bike was in and In the middle of talking the guy he turned his attention to another customer. I could tell that he really didn't give a dang. Instead of raising a further stink I just decided to post this review (with pictures). DO NOT RENT A BIKE FROM THIS PLACE!
