Overall a great wine bar! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My wife and I recently visited Whighams Wine Cellars and had a fantastic experience. The vibe is lovely and relaxed, with a good mix of both young and old patrons, making it feel welcoming for everyone. The Highlights: • Service: The staff made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. They took the time to explain the wine menu and other drink options as soon as we sat down. • The Tasting Experience: We opted for the "Red" and "Staff Pick" tasting menus. All the wines were excellent and very well priced. The accompanying tasting notes were a great touch, providing interesting details about the wines and their regions. • Atmosphere: We enjoyed the relaxed and cosy environment so much that we actually returned the following night for a few more glasses! 🍷 If you are looking for a top-tier wine bar in Edinburgh with a friendly, unpretentious atmosphere, this is definitely the spot. We'll certainly be back! 🥂✨

Whighams Wine Cellars was a solid first-night dining experience in Edinburgh. Service was friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in — they made us feel right at home. The vibe is relaxed and a little hidden, tucked a few steps below street level, giving it a cozy, slightly dim atmosphere that works well. The fish and chips were very good, though portion size could be a touch bigger. The Cullen skink was also good — rich and flavorful. Prices were fair, and the location was convenient for us. Overall, a comfortable spot with good food, great service, and a laid-back local feel. Saluti

We just went for drinks so no food rating but would definitely go back to sample the menu another time - we just stopped in for drinks before dinner… and then after dinner the next day as well. The atmosphere is fab and the setting is really cool, you can really see where the old cellars would have been. The staff were friendly, service was fast, and there is a great selections of wines and cocktails - great date night location
