White House Retreat Center The recent upgrades and expansions at White House Retreat Center are truly remarkable. The rooms are comfortable and thoughtfully designed, and the entire space is beautifully relaxing, an ideal environment to cherish quiet time with God while also being in meaningful community with God’s people. What stands out most is the spirit of hospitality. The staff and retreatants are friendly, supportive, and deeply respectful of Christians who pursue their faith outside of the Catholic tradition. That posture of openness creates a rare and sacred sense of welcome. Exceptional support is provided throughout the experience, making it easy to rest, reflect, and be fully present. This is a place that honors silence, reverence, and authentic spiritual seeking. Highly recommended.

Peaceful spot along the river with gorgeous views, comfortable, private accommodations, hiking trails. The Jesuits who run the retreats do a wonderful job. Atmosphere provides a rare opportunity to leave the world behind and focus on reenergizing yourself and reconnecting with God.

Great place to relax and reconnect with God. The Jesuits there are wonderful spiritual directors and retreat leaders. The grounds are beautiful, set on a bluff, overlooking the Mississippi. Some gorgeous sunrises if you are up early. The chapel is lovely stone building that has a prayerful atmosphere.
