I had an incredible experience training at Woodenman Muay Thai while visiting San Francisco. The coaches are not only highly skilled but also kind and attentive. Despite being from out of town, I felt instantly welcomed by both the instructors and the other students. Everyone showed excellent control, patience, and a real commitment to helping me learn. This gym has a great atmosphere and top-tier instruction—I highly recommend it to anyone, whether you’re local or just passing through.

Took a class on a Wednesday morning with Neungsiam Fairtex. Its hard to explain the environment without saying that this feels like you are stepping into Thailand for an hour and a half. Thai music played over the speakers. Neungsiam walks casually over to the mat after a brief warmup with a bow and a "sawadee khap" then getting into the pad work after 5 mins of jumping rope. The class was padwork and combo heavy followed by cardio kicks on pads. then some "body conditioning". A first timer walked in mid class and Neungsiam took time out of the class to work with her to properly form strikes separate from the group. Lots of care and consideration for ALL who train: Men, Women, Both, or Neither; This is a safe and welcoming space. This is the real deal. No need to travel to Thailand to get the "Fairtex gym" experience... It's right here in the USA. I travel frequently to SF for work and this will be built into my schedule for every trip.

I'm an official out-of-towner! Paid the $30 drop in fee and it was worth every penny! Great class, positive energy and environment! Friendly staff and excellent coaching! The regular members were friendly as well. Nobody there was sizing me up or anything. Got a good work out in and had a lot of fun! Super legit gym! I'll be back..

Highest quality muay thai instructors in USA plus a beautiful space! Woodenman Muay Thai’s new location on Harrison st is amazing. The mats are huge and there are plenty of bags. There is a shower. What really stands out are the instructors. It’s hard to get better than Jongsanan And Neungsiam Fairtex. They are thailand stadium champions and have distinctive styles. The vibes are welcoming due to friendly front desk people like Jay and Serina. I’ve been super happy dropping in and being part of the training. Cant recommend enough!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
