I recently visited Woodhouse Day Spa in Liberty Township and had mixed feelings about my experience. While the spa itself is nice, the overall environment felt quite cold—both literally and in atmosphere. The building had a noticeable chill, which was uncomfortable considering guests are in robes and sandals. This was especially apparent during my Signature Holistic Body Detox (80 minutes). The Vichy shower room felt freezing and very sterile. The lighting was uninviting, and even with the heater running, the room never warmed up, which made it hard to fully relax during what should have been a luxurious experience. Additionally, the spa had run out of disposable undergarments, so I was not provided any for my Vichy service, which added to the discomfort. I also booked a 50-minute deep tissue massage. My massage therapist was kind, welcoming, and checked in about pressure, which I appreciated. However, she had mentioned that she recently graduated massage school, and unfortunately the massage did not meet my expectations for deep tissue work. The pressure and technique were inconsistent. She also shared that it was her first time performing the holistic body detox service, which made the entire experience feel a bit rocky and less polished. I spent $350 on services, and about $445 total with gratuity. For that price point, I expected a more refined, comfortable, and consistent experience. While the staff was friendly and well-intentioned, the quality of services and environment did not match the premium cost. Overall, I left feeling disappointed and feel that the experience did not fully justify the price.

Kathy was an amazing massage therapist! She was so kind and made me feel comfortable from start to finish. She truly cared about my experience and even went over the allotted time because she could tell how tense my body was. I left feeling so much better and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend her!

This was our first visit and we loved the experience for a couples pedicure. This review is for the pedicure experience only. We were greeted, taken to a quiet room and offered a beverage. This started the experience off to being very relaxing. There were people next door that didn't get the memo about quiet room but it was short lived. I am sure they were celebrating something. Shortly after, our service began and we were offered another beverage. A warm towel wrap was used as the introduction to the service. This was so relaxing and felt so good. We also received a sugar scrub and massage with warm oil. This was topped off with another warm towel wrap. Afterwards our feet felt so amazing. I appreciate the care and concern they have with PPE and I watched 2 other ladies as they were cleaning and disinfecting their station. This was a treat weekend for us and I am sure we will do it again. There are also small sweet and savory snacks available and additional infused water. They have a well stocked area for you to purchase all things spa and beyond. I noticed a well stocked closet with robes, an elevator and stairs. I am sure this led to the massage and other service areas. Hopefully we will treat ourselves to a massage in the future and we can update our review.
