Woodminster Veterinary Hospital

Nice that they offer a free exam to shelter adoptees, however I got a really weird vibe here and will not be going back. They took my kittens into the back and told me to wait in an exam room and the doctor/kittens would be in shortly. I waited in there an hour. It may be policy to separate you from your pets at some vets, but it was very off putting for me. I gave no permission to do any sort of service without consulting me first, so what were they doing back there? Why the wait? A vet tech and eventually doctor came into the exam room, but they did not bring the kittens. I had wanted the doctor to make sure their spay sites were healing ok, but she was very vague and I am not sure she even looked at them. How would I know? They were in the back the whole time. It is odd to speak to a vet about your pet when the pet is not even in the room with you.

They're great with animals, far less so with paperwork and communication. I've had to ask three or four times to get invoices so I could submit to insurance. I've been sent to other locations with incorrect information. It's a tough time to be a vet so I understand it won't always get done right, but there's something systemically wrong on the office side here.

I am extremely disappointed with this clinic. They advertise themselves as an animal hospital but refused to see my dog in an emergency. I called at 2:30 pm on a Saturday, well within their posted business hours (they list closing at 6 pm), and was told they couldn’t take us because they were “closing soon.” Turning away a pet in urgent need is unacceptable and misleading for a facility that calls itself a hospital. I will not be trusting this clinic again, and I strongly urge others to think twice before depending on them in a crisis.

Took both my Dobermans for ear cropping and they did an amazing job. The staff was extremely helpful and I loved that we were able to meet with the doctor before the procedure to go over everything and answer all of our questions. Great service from the ladies/gentleman in the front to the vet techs that brought out our pups.

Thank you to the staff of Woodminster Vet for helping me through one of the toughest decisions any pet owner has to make. I appreciated them fitting us in even though I'd not been there before. I appreciated that our wait time for someone to take him in was relatively short. I appreciated the honesty of the doctor. Yes, it was terribly hard not to be with T.S. in his final moments, but I have every assurance that the staff was gentle and loving to Tizzy in that time. And I especially appreciate the lovely card I just received that included not only a personal note, but that they took the time to include a quotation from T.S. Elliot, after whom my T.S. was named. It's too soon, as my grief is deep and my missing T.S. is profound, but if/when the day comes that I adopt another cat/cats, I know that Woodminster will be my veterinary hospital.
