Just to remind you guys is very dissapointing to get there in the am and not be able to access the building. If a storm makes the computer go down. Someone should be on call to reset. It’s happened twice in the past six months. Thank you for your consideration.

Do not join this gym. I'm writing this after fully cancelling my membership and confirming I owe nothing to either Workout Anytime or ABC Financial, so every word below is documented, confirmed, and stands on its own. I enrolled on February 24, 2026, drawn in by Workout Anytime's advertised free 1-day trial. The Howell Mill Road location was functionally unreachable by phone for the entire trial period and the required 7-business-day cancellation window. Every call went to voicemail. No callback. No staff. By the time I realized I had no way to exercise my cancellation right, the billing cycle had already locked in. On March 23rd I formally cancelled through ABC Financial. They confirmed my cancellation in writing, effective that date. Despite that, charge attempts were made to my card on March 24th, 25th, 26th, and 27th. Four consecutive days after a confirmed cancellation date. On March 26th I hand-delivered a formal written notice to the location. Photographed it. No response. On March 27th I visited in person. The owner, Virginia Smith, refused to give me her name, refused to print a copy of my own membership contract, and denied that Workout Anytime even advertises a free trial, despite it being prominently featured on their own website and marketing materials. She also declined to contact ABC Financial to authorize a waiver of the balance, even after I explained that ABC Financial had told me directly she had the authority to do so. I sent two formal certified letters to the franchise and one escalation letter to corporate headquarters. I was ultimately forced to pay $113.98 on April 6th just to start the cancellation process and even then my membership wasn't immediately cancelled. It was placed in "pending cancellation" status until April 23rd. This is a predatory enrollment and cancellation process. The free trial is an illusion if the staff are never reachable during the window you'd use to opt out of it. The owner is unresponsive, dismissive, and actively obstructive. Virginia Smith's conduct throughout this entire process was unprofessional at every turn. If you value your money, your time, or your sanity, go literally anywhere else.
