0 out 5 stars. the reviews are true, machines are always out of service, to many kids all over the place where are the parents? its to expensive for what they offer and they give you the run around when you are trying to cancel. RUN AWAY there are plenty of other gyms in the area

It's ok for what it is. Was promised a sauna amongst other shit and well its still in the works. The front desk and the daycare staff is coo. I do like that's it's close to home, but I wonder when they are going to open up 24 hrs like we were told. ***Edit*** from a 3 star to 1. 2 years later and still not an upgraded sauna still the cheap one that doesn't get hot enough. Alot of the machineshere have been out of order for almost half a yr which is ridiculous. And no 24fr access. The owner and many like them don't seem to care about the facility. Honestly if another gym similarto this one opens up in the area and would actually take care and add other equipment it could shut this one down. For the price monthly it isnt worth it. Take your business elsewhere. Honestly why affiliate yourself with world gym Texas city if you can't be up to par with them . The staff is cool though.

I’ve been at World Gym since Jan 2024 and it used to be a good gym with friendly staff, new machines, and fun activities throughout the year to reward members; however, many things have changed since then. I understand that staff turnover is normal. But the membership has only gotten more expensive with little to no improvement in the equipment or facilities. They run promotions that are quite impossible to attain for example offering a free 1, 2, or 3 months of membership BUT to even get 1 month free you need to have referred 3 people to sign up. Over the course of my 2 years there, I did that - I convinced 3 people to sign up for a membership, but they wouldn’t honor 1 month free because one of the people had moved away and was no longer currently a member. I can’t even imagine how many people you need to have referred and kept there to get 3 months free. The equipment has not been updated or maintained since I’ve been a member there. Things have gotten worn down and there are never any new machines or classes. There used to be events to give out free merch or guest passes that they no longer do - and you basically never get guest passes. I only got 2 when I signed up with the VIP membership 2 years ago. In my opinion, the staff reviews are true - service has gone down. And the way they differentiate between month-to-month membership vs paying a year ahead doesn’t make much sense. They basically cost the same - there’s no benefit to paying ahead. All in all, I get that it’s a business, but it’s not a service worth my money anymore.
