A great family day out! The boat is easy to drive (sail?) for a novice. We made it to Pennington and back with a few stops each way. We look forward to trying another route.

We rented a boat for the day recently to celebrate my 30th birthday. We had the most amazing day - we were able to do a one way trip from worsley to castlefield with a bit of stretford thrown in too! Tracy captained our boat for us and let us all have a go at driving in between snacks and prosecco - it was just the most perfect day and we can't thank Tracy enough for having us. It was well organised, super clean, and Tracy was a lovely, welcoming and informative host. Would definitely recommend to all!

Highly recommended for a great family day out. So much fun, something different! We loved seeing the ducklings and stopping off for a delicious pub lunch. Booking online was really easy, this is a family-run business and someone is always available to help. Kids have said they want to book again in summer!

BEST BIRTHDAY EVER! From my first email to enquire about hiring Marilyn (the canal boat) as a means of transport from my home in Worsley to my birthday party in Manchester, I received nothing but outstanding service!! The team were so helpful and allowed me to customise my experience. Arriving early I set the boat up, which comes with all necessary amenities and facilities. We sailed down to Castlefield where we pulled up outside the venue I had hired and we got so much attention!! I couldn't recommend this company enough... The staff here, a family, are so friendly and welcoming. I chose to hire a skipper (which is optional) and John was absolutely fantastic on the day! Thank you all at Worsley Day Boat Hire - you provided me the 30th birthday I'll never forget. I'm sure we will be hiring again as everyone LOVED this experience.

This was an amazing experience! We told our captain, Vickie, that we wanted to see if we would like/could do narrow boating (we have no experience at all with boats). Vickie started out, but let us take over and drive, moor, drive past other boats, etc. Vickie was patient and an excellent instructor and just a joy to hang out with. We were able to customize the trip to meet our needs. Give them a call!
