The people who work here are so lovely. I always find everything I need and more. I’ve learned a lot as a beginner in crochet from people sharing information and resources. A huge plus is that it’s LGBTQ+ friendly and I feel very welcome and safe. 🩵
This place has a lovely selection of yarn and tools! The employees are always so kind and helpful. The last time I visited, the patron sitting on the couch knitting offered me and friend a cookie 🥹 so sweet and such good vibes!
Two stars because they have a decent selection, but didn’t offer the best service. I visited the store to see what they were doing for Malabrigo Day because that’s my favorite yarn and I kept seeing information on their social media pages. The store was orderly, with a sampling of the Malabrigo to show how it would work up and it was easy to find what I was looking for. The music was definitely too loud (the speaker was right over the Malabrigo section) but an older lady came and lowered it for me without asking. Upon checkout, the cashier didn’t have the best disposition. It didn’t seem like they wanted to be there, they wanted to check me out as quickly as possible (there was no line) and also didn’t offer to wind anything. I was disappointed because I thought there was supposed to be goodies for Malabrigo Day, and even purchased a sweaters quantity of that yarn but they didn’t offer or say anything. When I got back to my car, I pulled up the social media posts and found that I could vote for my favorite yarn for prizes and was supposed to receive small goodies for my purchase. I went back in to speak to the cashier and they gave me a piece of paper to fill out and went on their way. I had really been looking forward to this event and did end up purchasing what I intended, but this interaction definitely soured the experience.
Im from Roanoke Tx but came to San Antonio for a day. My friend sent me a crochet pattern for a cute Halloween sweater and this is when i decided it was time to start going to a yarn store to every new place i travel to! Found this gem of a place for my sweater! They didnt have the exact yarn that was used for this pattern but the older lady w short hair and glasses 🤓 helped me find something super similar in weight and color!!!!! I also signed up so i may also order online from them! Next time im back in SA, which i am about once a year, i will stop by again to get more stuff!!! Absolutely recommend this place!
Loved this local yarn shop!!! The people there were so nice and helpful. There is a wide selection of yarns of in different colors, weights, fibers, and prices. There is a nice couch seating area to sit and work on projects with others as well. I liked the section of Texas-hand-dyed yarns. I bought a cute amigurumi kit made of recycled materials and it was under 15 dollars!! So excited to work on it
