Arrived with reservations on Christmas Eve at 6pm. My family and myself were sat right away , and took around 7 minutes to get our drink order. My mother and myself had ordered the shrimp fry Diablo, mine came out and looked halfway decent, then in the other hand my mothers looked like ramen soup. Will never go back and fake Italian food.

Zia Marie’s is hands down the best Italian restaurant on Shore Drive. Me and my family have been going here for years, and it’s always delicious. The pizza, the pasta, the entrées everything is amazing. My personal favorite is the bolognese, which is always rich, flavorful, and perfect every time. They also have a nice patio that’s great for sitting outside on a nice night, and the service is always friendly and on point. If you’re craving Italian on Shore Drive, this is the place. Consistent, cozy, and absolutely delicious.

Had Calamari, Portabella Mushrooms & Mussels and a bottle of Moscato. Arrived 30 minutes before closing but the service was outstanding. The atmosphere was great. The wine was amazing and ended up ordering another bottle.

Hands down the best Italian restaurant in Virginia! This place has such an authentic and cozy vibe with cute fireplaces inside to keep you warm. They start you off with warm bread served with oil, cheese, and pepper which was so good. The drink menu is really unique too. We tried the Caramel Apple Martini and the Chocolatini, and both were amazing. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer, which was pretty good, but the pasta truly stole the show. We got the Shrimp alla Vodka and the Shrimp Alfredo (subbed with chicken), and both were absolutely out of this world. The pasta was incredibly fresh, and the vodka sauce was honestly the best I’ve ever had. Even the fish was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service was excellent and they even packaged our leftovers for us at the table. Prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality of food and experience.

My husband and I recently ate at Zia Marie’s because they were one of the few restaurants open on a Monday evening. To my surprise, the food was excellent. I ordered the Veal Saltimbocco which did not disappoint. It was tender and topped with prosciutto and cheese. Yum!!! My husband ordered the cheese tortellini with Bolognese sauce. He thought it was delicious and ate the entire dish which was a generous portion. An added bonus was that the wine was on special so we only paid half price for a decent bottle of wine. The service was also very good. The place was packed so the volume of noise was a little loud but that’s to be expected when a place is this good.
