After a long and emotionally draining dog training journey with our pup Mia, I can confidently say finding Maxim has been the biggest blessing. Our experience started with a painfully expensive - and disappointingly mediocre - three-week board and train in Miami. Hoping to resolve a few lingering obedience issues, we sought out a second trainer in Toronto. Within just 20 minutes of our first session, this trainer became unreasonably aggressive with our then 8-month-old puppy. We had prepaid for four sessions, but we never went back. More money wasted, and more importantly, trust broken. It was shortly after this encounter that we noticed a drastic shift in Mia’s behavior. Her confidence plummeted. She became nervous around people, especially in tight spaces like elevators and hallways. She even began lunging out of fear. As dog owners who truly tried to do everything right, we were heartbroken and filled with regret. We tried a third trainer, and again no results. Just more time and money gone. Then we found Maxim. And honestly, I could cry writing this. After a two-week board and train with Maxim, Mia’s confidence has returned. She’s about 95% back to the happy, social dog she used to be. The shift was noticeable from our very first few walks at home. We plan to continue working with Maxim to fine-tune her obedience, but the progress she’s made already is incredible. Maxim has a calm yet confident presence that immediately earns the respect of the dogs he works with. He sets clear boundaries with firmness and kindness, and that balance is exactly what Mia needed. After working with four trainers, I can say with complete confidence: Maxim is in a league of his own. We’re beyond grateful for him and couldn’t recommend him more highly.
We’ve had several training sessions with Maxim, and honestly, it’s been a game-changer for us and our pup! Our dog used to be full-on chaos, but now we’ve got a much calmer, more manageable buddy who’s well on their way to becoming the perfect family dog. Maxim really knows his stuff. From the very first session, he got our dog's behavior and figured out exactly what training approach would work best. He’s super professional but also makes the whole process fun and easy to follow. We’ve learned so much about how to understand and manage our dog’s needs, and it’s made a huge difference in our day-to-day life. Maxim helped me train my 1 year old golden retriever Campbell. My dog was very reactive on the leash, and would lunge and bark at other dogs in our building and on our walks. Maxim was awesome and helped me with Campbells reactivity and recall. Walking him is such a pleasure now. Thank you Maxim for all your help, your patience, and your kindness towards my dog!
