Got to cook Gumbo with the owner on Christmas. It was an amazing experience, One of my favorite kitchens to be in. Great stay and I would definitely do it again!
Truly an amazing experience, not only are the rooms incredible, but host is an amazing chef, who brings warmth , joy with delicious meals, and tasteful decor.
Beautiful space inside and out, gracious and hospitable host, fun and friendly environment. Mostly quiet, calm space. State of the art kitchen. Small dogs, I had a great time staying here and came back!
I stay here regularly -- peaceful, convenient to shopping, walkable, friendly host, and an all-around good vibe. Definitely worth the stay!
When we called the establishment, the owner said that the room was fit for 3 adult guests. When we arrived and saw the room, it was evidently made for 2 people at most (1 queen bed and a small couch that would barely hold one person), but we had to make do with it. When we asked to see the bathroom, he refused to show it to us, stating that "he doesn't do tours", which is rather suspicious of an Airbnb. He was overly confrontational, and when we tried to pay him in cash and ask for change back, he was evidently incapable of doing the calculations given that he gave us back a wrong amount and argued with us until we showed him the calculation on a calculator (after which he proceeded to sigh, roll his eyes, and give us the correct amount). The room and the front door both had electronic auto-locks, but the code that the owner gave for those locks was wrong, so one of us had to be in the room at all times to ensure that we weren't locked out. The worst part about the establishment, however, had to be the bathroom. It was dirty, had hair everywhere, and had a lingering scent of dog urine (which was not good news given that he had multiple dogs both inside and outside of the establishment). The shower and bathroom had hair everywhere, including on the floor and walls. Overall, a bad experience, DO NOT RECOMMEND. Tldr (because I realize my review was kinda long): - Room smaller than advertised - Overly-confrontational owner - Broken door locks - Extremely dirty bathroom
