No repair was even attempted on our downstairs unit, and our upstairs unit failed to come on after the technician left! American Home Shield sent Air City AC to our home to repair our downstairs ac unit. The representative began immediately telling my husband that we needed a new system. My husband went with the technician to the outside unit where a burnt wire was disconnected. My husband asked the technician to replace the wire and he refused! The technician stated that the compressor was broken probably from a power surge and would need to be replaced along with all of the wiring. The company sent a report to American Home Shield stating the compressor and wiring needed to be replaced and that the system was old had been repaired many times, influencing AHS to deny the repair costs. Then Air City quoted us $3,900.00 to replace the compressor and wiring highly suggesting a new unit be purchased for $7,800.00. We hired a different company and after a short visit, both units were on and cooling! The technician that we hired found after replacing a small wire on our downstairs unit the unit came on and began cooking. The technician checked our upstairs unit and found the door to the furnace hadn’t been closed completely. He closed the furnace door and the ac came on and began cooking! You decide what to think. I can no longer trust anyone.

I had an older system that definitely needed replacement. I choose to buy a brand new one on Air Citys recommendation. This was absolutely a mistake im now 5 months into a nightmare I cant wake up from. Let me explain how your experience will go if you go with Air City. They will send out a service truck wrapped with a company logo and give you the false impression that when you purchase a new system, they will be the ones installing it. That is not the case they showed up in a beat up lifted truck with giant shiny rims with a damaged product inside and out. Without inspection of the new unit they cut out my old one. Did they stop and inform me when they saw that the new one was damaged absolutely not. Did they make it a horrible experience getting a replacement new product that wasn't damaged absolutely. Then to top it off they sent a guy out to replace the damaged unit that spoke no English. Shortly after installing this new unit that has Been installed by contractors with the worst professional i have ever experienced I started my 5 month repeated service call requests for my brand new unit. You will have to call to schedule your own appointments even after they do not complete the repairs on your brand new unit because why would they schedule your next appointment for a job they couldn't complete for you? It makes more sense to have the customer call and request that they schedule their appointment for the repairs that they have not been able to complete for the last three appointments. One they didn't show up for. Will they call you at any point in the day to let you know that they are running late or not coming? No thats your responsibility as a customer to sit around all day and wonder. While you sit on your thumbs for a window they will miss you can spend your time waiting for a call for an update that will never come. That's just a bonus you'll wait all day and you won't even get the courtesy of a phone call. But thats ok because you get to play the guessing game of will they send someone that is from the company or do I get a contractor that speaks no English what fun. I absolutely do not recommend you use this company. They are miss managed dishonest and just flat out not good at their jobs. I have had a decent experience with one technician but he is their field trainer. Their service department is a joke. When im done writing this im gonna call to schedule my unfinished service appointment even though their field service trainer was at my last appointment and knows the repairs have not been completed. I wish I had never done business with this company.

Back on April 9 2024 my home warranty company(was provided when I purchased the house) sent Air City AC and Heating LLC to my primary residence. I had called because my downstairs unit was not cooling. A tech showed up and hooked his equipment to the unit outside and said there was no Freon that I had a leak somewhere in the system. Before he left I was told a follow up would be necessary. Shortly after a salesman shows up and explains to me their findings. He is pushy and wants for me to sign so they can get to work. A little over 5k for what needed to be done. I told him I was not interested and that I had a guy that takes care of my rental properties but I called the home warranty company because I had the service. I explained that I would be in contact after I received my guys findings. His tone changed with me and became defensive. I asked him to leave my property. When my guy showed up there was no leak and the system was full of refrigerant. The whole house filter in the attic was completely clogged due to a recent renovation of the house and the capacitor was blown most likely due to the air filter situation. I tried to get my money back that I paid for the initial visit but was given the run around for about three months before I gave up. Sorry for the long post I just wanted to be as detailed as possible. This company is far from honest while implementing high pressure sales tactics. Total crooks. Please be aware.
