They do business in a typical "shady hidden fee" ways. I left a pc for repair, and got a phone call that it's a hard drive issue and that I may lose some data. I just replied "yeah if u can try to save the data, do it but if not, that's all fine" without much thought. He billed me $250 extra for data recovery. I didn't know trying to save data while repair was such a heavy extra and would've just told him to dump it all and load the pc fresh. He didn't mention anything about data recovery being extra charge. If you're dropping off your stuff for repair, just expect to be hit with massive extra bs $$$ on your final payment. I will never come back to this place, and shame on all the bots that made this place 4.9 star. What a joke
He is a very patient guy.. he listens to customers problems and request well and I brought in a tv remote with corrosion in the battery port and he cleaned it better than I would have! He’s great!
In September 2024 I sent my laptop to the shop for repair. It’s a Lenovo laptop and the hinge on the right side broke which would not allow the laptop to open. My son took it in and we were charged $150 for repair. Maybe about six months later the laptop hinge broke again and this time it cracked the bar that opens the laptop right under the screen. My son took it in again and it was not under warranty and the charge was going to be more. I decided to order the parts myself and make the repair. Today I repaired the laptop myself for under $50. I ordered parts off at Amazon. I do have to say I’m very disappointed with the first repair that AJ computer repair completed for me today. I found out that instead of repairing it he welded the parts in. Attached a picture for your viewing. If you have repairs completed here please do ask how it was completed and request some sort of a video or stand there until it is complete. This was a makeshift job and my laptop was intended to break again.
Mr Charles was very professional and provided excellent customer service. Also, the repairs to my computer were of high quality and got back up and running in 2 days.
If i could leave ZERO stars for this place I would do it!!!! I have no idea how this place has such a high rating. My charging port was out on my laptop. I paid this scammer to look at my laptop. He assessed it and charged me 79$ he initially told me if I choose to repair with him the amount would go towards the repair. He told me after 2 hours that yes the port was bad and it would cost me 225$ for to repair it. I figured it was less than the cost of a new laptop so I went ahead and said go ahead He told me it was going to be 3 days. I called him on the 3rd day to see what time I should pick it up. He then told me my Mother Board is bad?!?! I said well when you assessed it why didn't you say so at first, (he told me he checked everything out). And why are you telling me today vs before. He then proceeded to tell me it would cost over 550 to repair it and tech is like that. I told him absolutely NOT. I ended up taking it to another guy who told me he could tell that the port was bad but the previous person who messed with it screwed up the motherboard. I knew nothing was wrong with the mother board. Please make sure you investigate who is fixing your laptop/computer. THIS PLACE IS NOT IT!!! he will break something so you have to pay more. Do your research and don't be a victim like me!!
