This wonderful, overflowing bowl of sushi over (very well prepared) rice was a highlight, but the menu is full of fun surprises that are worth exploring at this bright, clean, delightful little restaurant. The owners are just lovely and clearly curated a special menu of interesting, delicious food. For what it's worth, we love gyu-don and they make the best in the valley. We loved their cucumber salad, their interesting beers, and all the love they pour into everything they make.

While the fish quality and hot foods were excellent along with the service, the hot rice and lack of sushi rice with the Akamaru Don and the hand roll could be improved. Would try it again.

Wow. This is high quality authentic Japanese fare. The fish were as fresh and delicious as in Tsukiji Fish Market. The izakaya style menu may not be for everyone but for the rest who admire Japanese food this little place is a gem. Give it a shot and see if you like it. Husband / Wife team run this place with lot of passion - and it shows.

What a wonderful little restaurant! I’ve been multiple times and only took pictures of the really cool beer and the (bizarrely good?) fried chicken, but I’ve tried most of the menu. There’s sushi here. It’s wonderful, fresh, well-presented. Absolutely nothing wrong with getting sushi, especially their sushi bowl with rice which is out of this world. But I’ve worked through the other traditional Japanese food on their menu and it’s been really fantastic - the fried chicken alone was worth the trip. Anyways, this has quickly become one of our favorite finds in the Valley from the last year and we’ve been telling everyone we know. It’s a real gem.

I ordered the Uni & Ikura Don, and it was fantastic. The sweet, plentiful salmon roe paired perfectly with the fresh sea urchin—such a treat! My husband had the Yakiniku Onigirazu, a soy–sesame marinated beef and lettuce rice sandwich. It was huge, and he said it tasted great. We’ll definitely be back!
